Taehyung barely listened to his biology teacher, he hated the subject anyways and didn't care.

"Yo, Tae. What's wrong with you? Are you alright?" It's always the same question.

And the same answer. "I'm fine, chim."

Taehyung turned to Jimin when he heard him snort. "What?"

Jimin raised an eyebrow. "Bitch, I'm gay, not dumb. You're my best friend and it's obvious that you're not doing fine."

"You're gay and dumb," Taehyung mocked and Jimin stuck his tongue out, before answering. "Now, what's up?"

Taehyung sighed. "I don't wanna talk about it."

But Jimin isn't Park Jimin if he gives up that easily. "So is it about Minhyun?"

Yes, it is. And Jeongguk, the new boy, who he strangely can't get out of his head, is messing with him too. He's handsome and all, but a dick. That's the impression he gives at least.

"Fine, yeah. I just don't know what to do." he whispered, truthfully.

Jimin smiled reassuringly. "Don't break yourself over it, yeah? Just give him hints that you don't want him anymore, he'll notice and maybe he'll break up first- or leave, realizing there's no love anymore."

Easier said than done. "Maybe you're right," Taehyung whispered, not meaning it. Knowing Minhyun, he would never do a move like this, but Taehyung didn't say it out loud, not wanting to worry Jimin more.

But he realized, that he probably should work on his facial expression and appearance, to not appear as lifeless as he feels. "You're right, Chim. Everything will turn alright."

"I know it's the last lesson of the day and you're ready for the weekend, but can I please get your attention for a moment?" Taehyung and Jimin both looked to the front to see Mrs. Wong, an art teacher in the front next to their biology teacher. When did she even enter?

"Good. Basically, you probably noticed that the principal ordered to paint the wall in the entrance hall new, but we still need a design. For that, our school decided to make a competition where all students of the last two years have to take part in. You will work in duos. The best idea or sketch will win a voucher for two days off school and a hotel room at the beach of Jeju Iland. Each of the two winners can take someone with them." Taehyung and Jimin instantly looked at each other

"There's one condition though, your partner can't be from the same year as yours and we will pair you up with someone of year 13 (Tae and Chim are in year 12), understood?"

Taehyung pouted, really wanting to do that with Jimin. But Jimin, he just smiled excitedly, "Do you think there's a chance of me being able to go with Yoongi?"

Taehyung smiled. "Yeah hopefully."

"And there's no pick or choose for you, that was year 13's part. They already decided on their partners, I will hang the list outside," their teacher continues and Jimin's smile widened, knowing really well Yoongi picked him. He will sleep on the couch if not.

Taehyung felt his tummy tighten though. Minhyun probably picked him. Great, he was so glad that he doesn't have to do much with Minhyun at school and now, they're assigned on a project together. Or not, who knows?
