DO I BOTHER YOU?

To say Jeongguk was furious was an underestimation, he was feeling beyond raged right now, ready to punch a wall and tear his knuckles until they don't stop bleeding.

"Are you still there?"

Yet the soft voice of a fragile brunet always manages to calm him.

"Of course, Beautiful. Enjoy your bath."

To clarify the situation, Taehyung was taking a bath, but was scared that Jeongguk will leave him. Now the raven was pacing back and forth in front of the bathroom, while the younger bathed and every few minutes Taehyung would ask if Jeongguk was still there. Of course he was.

He isn't going to leave.

Jeongguk sighed out a deep breath.

Jung Minhyun. He loathes the male more than anything else now- he has done that ever since day one, but now he crossed a line.

A line that never should be allowed to get crossed, wether boyfriend or not. Jeongguk couldn't even imagine the way Taehyung must have felt when it all happened, how he fought until the very end as his own boyfriend physically abused him.

Jeongguk's jaw tightened. At the same time, a lot of things begin to make sense for him though.

Concerning his "secret not-friendship" with Taehyung and why he agreed to it all without hesitation and without a waste of thought. It's obvious, isn't it?

"Ggukie?"

"Don't worry, angel. I won't leave."

"Do you feel better?" Jeongguk asked in a warm voice as he dried Taehyung's hair with a towel, being cautious with his moves.

Taehyung just nodded, just looking at Jeongguk.

"You care about me," he suddenly pointed out and Jeongguk stopped moving, locking his eyes with Taehyung's beautiful ones, that seemed to hold whole galaxies in them, totally overpowering the wounds he had around his face.

He wordlessly pulled the towel back and brushed Taehyung's hair behind his ears with his fingers.

"Always did," he admitted.

Why keep denying the obvious?

A small smile stretched on Taehyung's lips and he held himself back from hissing as a wound in his lower lip started stinging. "Still you lied about it."

Jeongguk chuckled. "Not anymore."

Taehyung was feeling way better. Of course the wounds Minhyun caused were still hurting like hell, the memories as if it all happened just a few moments ago.

But Jeongguk's presence, his warm eyes, calming voice -all of him- numbed the pain, covering it as if it never really happened and it all was a nightmare.

Like a remedy.

Taehyung's remedy.

"Thank you for caring about me," he whispered, eyes not leaving Jeongguk's.

They held an eye contact for a few seconds, both feeling their chests swirl with warmth and that damn indescribable emotion. Jeongguk looked away first, blushing and cleared his throat. "I ordered food, it should be here soon."

"O-okay," Taehyung, who was a blushing mess as well, responded with a soft nod.

Jeongguk began drying Taehyung's hair again, a smile not leaving his lips as he ruffled the towel against his head. He felt so proud of the younger for being so strong and able to smile even after what happened.
