REASONS

"Ggukie?"

"Hmm?"

"D-Do you have a spare toothbrush for me?"

The quiet voice of the older startled Jeongguk, who was sitting on his couch. "Why are you stuttering?" He asked softly as he got up and walked towards the younger. "I'm not mad at you, bub."

Taehyung bit his lip, sighed softly. "I'm sorry, I still feel miserable. I feel like an annoying kid."

Jeongguk shook his head with a warm
smile and pulled Taehyung against his chest. "You're not an annoying kid, Sweetheart."

Taehyung closed his eyes, getting surrounded by Jeongguk's scent of cologne and a tad of cigarettes. "It's not fair towards you.. I avoided you, while you cared for me the whole time-"

"You care for me too though." Jeongguk began moving his hand through Taehyung's hair. "You did that to protect me, so it's fair."

Taehyung bit onto his bottom lip, slowly opening his eyes and turning to look up to Jeongguk. "Why are you so good to me?"

For a moment, Jeongguk's eyes fondly studied Taehyung's face. "Because of many reasons."

Taehyung almost flinched by the sudden warmth that shoot up to his cheeks, looking up into Jeongguk's eyes with his own doe ones. "What reasons?" The question was a mere whisper, still reaching Jeongguk's ears.

"Reason one..." Jeongguk's one hand moved from Taehyung's waist up to his face, cupping his jaw to tilt Taehyung's face more up to his, "Those beautiful eyes of yours.."

Taehyung almost automatically fluttered his eyes shut the moment Jeongguk mentioned them, causing the older to smirk a little.

"Reason two.." with the other hand that still rested on Taehyung's waist, Jeongguk tickled him, a small yelp, followed by short laughter escaping Taehyung's lips, making Jeongguk smile fondly. "Your sweet laughter."

Taehyung quieted down again, lips staying in a smile as he opened his eyes again and looked up to Jeongguk. "And.. reason number three?"

Jeongguk smirked as his face leaned down to Taehyung's. He stopped midway though, watching the younger close his eyes, awaiting him. The smirk on Jeongguk's lips grew as he finally kissed Taehyung, letting their lips become one, encaging the two into another dimension.

Taehyung literally clung onto Jeongguk, hands fisting the fabric of the older's hoodie as he pressed himself closer to him, wanting to feel him.

After a small time of just innocent, lovely kissing, the two cut away from each other, remaining forehead on forehead.

"Reason three, your lips," Jeongguk panted out, making Taehyung giggle lightly, butterflies erupting in his tummy.

"There's so much more reasons Taehyung, so so many aspects that make you so perfect, so endearing to me, that I can't stop thinking about you, not even one second. I'd do anything for you, anything your heart desires, because.."

I love you.

He didn't say it out loud though. Not yet. But that's how he feels.
