I PROMISE
"Okay guys, listen to me!" Jin begged and looked to his friends and boyfriend around the cafeteria table, the younger boys turning to him, annoyance visible in their faces.
"Ask me why I always knock on the fridge before I open it."
"Who fucking knocks on the-
"Just ask me!" Seokjin glared at Hoseok, who quickly shut up.
"Okay, why do you always knock on the fridge before you open it?" Jimin asked, voice laced in boredom.
Barely holding his laughter, Seokjin answered. "Because there could be a salad dressing," all that was heard were the groans of the younger boys and Seokjin's very loud windshield wiper laugh.
"That's enough dad jokes for today, Jinnie," Namjoon smiled softly. Don't get him wrong, he loves Jin's laughter, his silliness. He could never get enough of it.
But sometimes, thirty jokes in five minutes are enough.
Jin pouted, the others laughing at him.
But everyone went quiet when they unexpectedly saw Jeongguk standing by their table, looking a little conflicted. "Hey, euhm.. has anyone of you seen Taehyung today?"
Everyone looked at him confused, surprised by what the most unbothered soul at school was doing there. He didn't look that unbothered asking for Taehyung though.
"I didn't see him," Hoseok finally said and everyone nodded along.
Jimin not- he squinted his eyes, wondering why Jeongguk would ask for Taehyung.
"Have you heard something about him though? I haven't seen him the whole day."
Right, it's the next day already.
And no one has a clue on what happened to Taehyung.Jimin's looked around. "Maybe he's sick?"
Jeongguk shrugged. "He doesn't pick up my calls or read my messages."
"When did you and Taehyung grew so close?" Yoongi suddenly asked the question that burned on everyone's lip, making everyone avert their curious eyes at Jeongguk.
The ravenette rolled his eyes. "Doesn't have to concern you. Can someone of you reach him?"
Jimin pulled his phone out of his jacket's pocket, quickly dialing his best friend's number.
But no one answered, worried frowns marking their eyebrows. "Maybe he is really sick?"
Seokjin asked."He would still pick his phone up," Namjoon said though, making the table fall quiet for a few seconds, before Jeongguk broke the silence again.
"I'm going to check up on him," he declared, hurriedly swinging his backpack over his shoulders.
"Wait, do you have his address-
"I do, call me if you hear something from him." He said before he ran off.
Jimin crossed his arms on the table, placing his chin on them, while he watched Jeongguk leave.
He felt miserable. He had spent so little time with his best friend lately, he feels like he doesn't know anything about him anymore. It's not Taehyung's fault though and he knows it. Minhyun is obsessed with Taehyung, hating to see him around males, wether they are strangers or his best friends.
Jeongguk was in his car, right now impatiently waiting for the red light to turn green. He was worried- first he thought Taehyung was ignoring him, but seeing his friends' reactions, the uncomfortable feeling that something must've happened had settled in the pit of his stomach and would leave him restless.
