TRUTH

Three days later, Wednesday, and Taehyung hasn't talked to Jeongguk yet. He has seen him in school, but the chance to converse wouldn't be there and it even feels like the older ignored him.

Maybe the whole 'secret' thing was too much for Jeongguk and of course Taehyung understands if he's not agreeing to this unusually idea and rather stays away from him.

"I'll call you later baby," Minhyun said, as he kissed Taehyung's cheek before entering his classroom.

Taehyung sighed, gaze instantly dropping. With slow, heavy strides he walked towards his own classroom, not feeling like having classes anymore. The halls were empty, since he was a minute late already, because Minhyun insisted for him to walk to his class first.

Taehyung didn't mind, didn't question why it wasn't the other way around, didn't think about how mad his teacher will be when he'll come a few minutes late, considering he has to walk through the whole school to get from Minhyun's class to his own.

Passing the cafeteria, Taehyung glanced inside just once; it all seemed so different without people. He immediately recognized the table he usually sits at with his friends, the one Minhyun sits with his friends and then the one in the very back where no one used to sit.

Until Jeon Jeongguk switched schools, sitting there now every lunch break, with earphones in his ears, a sketchbook opened and a sharpened pencil in his hand, completely in his own world as he draws and draws and draws.

Taehyung envies him sometimes. He looks so peaceful, so... free, unbothered.

A sad feeling settled into the pit of the brunet's stomach. He kind of missed Jeongguk. Although they only spend a little time with each other, it was enough for him to wish he could see him more, talk to him more. Get his comfort.

Almost in front of his classroom, Taehyung's wrist suddenly got grabbed and he was harshly pulled into the small janitor's room. He almost screamed, if the person that pulled him didn't push him against the wall and placed his hand on his mouth when they were inside.

Taehyung's racing heart calmed down the moment he made out the boy in front of him. His eyes widened. "Jeongguk?"

The raven haired let go of Taehyung. "Hey," he just responded, a low chuckle following.

A disbelieving scoff left Taehyung's lips and he laughed lightly, composing himself. "You scared the shit out of me."

"We're keeping us a secret, Beautiful. I found no other way but this, your asshole of a boyfriend stuck to you like glue the whole week over," the dark haired mumbled with a bored expression.

Taehyung looked away, a little flustered. "So you've been watching me?"

Surprised by the question, Jeongguk just looked at Taehyung. Yeah, he has. Subtly and very very carefully. "The whole time."

Heat shoot to Taehyung's cheeks and he bit his lip. "Strange, I never caught you."

"I'm good in everything I do, so there's no way you would anyways," Jeongguk smirked cockily, making Taehyung scoff as he raised an eyebrow. "Aren't we a little too confident today, Mr. Jeon?"

"Shouldn't we be, Mr. Kim?" Jeongguk also raised his pierced eyebrow, until both just smiled at each other.

"So any reason for you to drag me into the janitors room?"

"Mhmm," Jeongguk moved so that he was leaning against the wall opposite of Taehyung - the room was pretty small and lean- and shrugged. "This- us is the reason."
