I DON'T CARE

Taehyung dipped his paint brush into the green colour, when a thought, or memory crossed his mind. Didn't Yoongi and Hoseok say that Jeongguk acts like he doesn't give a fuck about anything?

Taehyung looked up to the focused raven haired in front of him. He was trying to be as precisely as possible with the colour, totally concentrated to not draw over the lines. He doesn't look like he doesn't care.

"Why are you working?" The question wasn't phrased the way he actually wanted to ask him, but he didn't care. Jeongguk looked up confused. "What?"

"My friends said you don't give shit about anything," Taehyung blurted out and Jeongguk put his brush aside, a little surprised. "They're not wrong."

Taehyung mustered Jeongguk. "Why do you care about this project though?"

"Who said I cared?"

"Why are you working then?" He asked again, blinking confused.

Jeongguk locked his eyes with him and bit his lip, then quickly looked away. "Because of you."

Taehyung heart stopped for a second. "O-okay..."

Jeongguk watched him blush again and chuckled to himself.

"Why?"

"You ask a lot of questions Beautiful." the raven said with a chuckle, making the younger pout. "I'm sor..." Jeongguk gave him a knowing, warning look that made Taehyung fall silent, hearing Jeongguk's voice in his head telling him to not apologize.

"Why because of me?"

Jeongguk kept quiet for a while. Yeah why? He doesn't know either, he had never felt this way before. He didn't know why he wanted to protect Taehyung from Minhyun so badly, which was the actual reason for picking Taehyung as his partner. So that Minhyun couldn't.

Jeongguk sighed. "That day when we met in the café..."

Taehyung began chewing on his lip. He remembers being mesmerized by Jeongguk's handsomeness- so much that he couldn't keep his eyes away from him.

"You know, something about you.. just.. caught me." He turned his head away from Taehyung. "You were in so much discomfort on that table, I don't know, I needed to check up on you.." Jeongguk internally cursed at himself.

Taehyung once again blushed. He hesitated before asking the next question. "Why... do you care about me?"

Jeongguk literally stopped breathing. He has no answer to that question, since he doesn't care about him. Okay, obviously he does.

"I don't care about you."

Taehyung tilted his head and hummed. He knew better, but kept quiet.

"Minhyun hates you," he suddenly said and Jeongguk chuckled. "I guessed so."

Taehyung smiled. "He doesn't like us being friends."

Jeongguk raised an eyebrow, but dropped it quickly. "We aren't friends."

Taehyung looked down embarrassedly. "I mean I thought... I'm sorry-

"I swear, Taehyung, if you apologize one more time I..." He didn't even know what to say. There was this tension between them that made them both speechless, messing with their minds and... hearts.

"What?" Taehyung asked confused. Jeongguk pressed his lips together. "Nevermind. Just stop apologizing for everything, it makes me wanna kill Minhyun even more-

"I don't understand you, Jeongguk.." Taehyung interrupted him, catching his full attention. "You say you don't care about anything, but it bothers you so much that I'm with Minhyun?"
