ROSES

After Jeongguk and Taehyung were shooed away from the football field by a bunch of teenagers, they were now walking again. The sun has began to settle and the weather was getting a little chilly, but none of the boys even noticed that.

Taehyung had his phone in his hand, navigation app open, while looking around in search for the next bus stop that would bring them to Jeongguk's house.

"Is it far?" The raven asked with a yawn, stretching his arms.

"It should be here somewhere," Taehyung told, smiling triumphantly as he spotted the sign of the bus stop. "There it is."

Jeongguk sighed relieved as they walked to it. "Bad thing is, my car is still at our school grounds."

"No problem, we'll just go to school by bus tomorrow then."

"Okay," Jeongguk agreed .

They sat down on the bench of the bus stop, Jeongguk's eyes suddenly widening when he realized what he just agreed to. "Wait- you wanna sleep over?"

Taehyung blushed a little. "If you don't mind. I mean neither of us has a car right now and we're going to yours, which is far from my house. And I don't really like... being outside alone when it's dark," he explained while fiddling with his fingers.

Jeongguk took a deep breath, telling himself to calm down and not be obvious with how excited he feels.

"Sure, why not."

A smile placed itself on Taehyung's lips. "Thank you."

Soon the bus arrived and the two payed for tickets and sat down next to each other.

"I feel like ditching school today was the best idea," Taehyung stated, Jeongguk hummed. "That's because you were with me."

Rolling his eyes, Taehyung nudged Jeongguk's arm with his elbow. "Because I won against you."

"Doesn't necessarily mean that you are better than me. Everyone makes mistakes," Jeongguk argued.

"Yeah and playing against me was your biggest one," Taehyung retorted sassily, making Jeongguk chuckle.

For a few moments, it was just quiet between them, Taehyung enjoying the view of the sunset. Today was one of his best days ever and no one can argue with that. And Jeongguk is the cause of it.

"We need to leave here," Jeongguk announced and Taehyung hummed, prying his gaze away from the window.

They already got up, even though the bus was still driving, making standing still hard as they swayed side to side. Jeongguk frowned. While Taehyung was obliviously standing in front of him, the older unnoticeably made sure Taehyung wouldn't fall when the bus stops.

Worriedly, he intentionally held onto the rod next to the brunet, so if something were to happen, he would catch Taehyung.

Or he was just overthinking, because when the bus came to an stop, nothing of that kind happened and Taehyung just happily skipped out. Jeongguk followed him, dumbfounded over his own behavior.

"Be the navigation, Gguk, I don't know where your house is," Taehyung said, as he turned to the older, the pendants attached to the zip of his backpack dangling and making cute sounds. Jeongguk had noticed them earlier already, it was kind of endearing.

"Then just follow me." He wasn't going to comment on the nickname that the younger gave him yet.

A light blush crept onto the brunet's bread cheeks, as he proceeded to walk next to Jeongguk and followed him.
