*Sirius' pov*
A pale skinned boy with wavy raven hair walked quietly through the carriage of the Hogwarts Express, searching for an unclaimed carriage.
He found one that looked empty and sat down.
Across from him he noticed a sleeping, tall, skinny, sickly looking boy, with sandy hair and scars across his face.
He supposed it was ok to stay here, the sandy haired boy couldn't argue while he was asleep.
Just then his thoughts were interrupted by a boy rushing into the carriage.
He was a short, but handsome, weedy boy, with round-rimmed glasses a messy mop of black hair.
"Hiya" said the boy, "I'm James, James Potter!".
Sirius was rather surprised by his courage, and mumbled quietly, "I'm Sirius Black."
James smothered a gasp, and said "Black, as in the noble and..."
"Yeah, yeah" cut off Sirius, "I hate all that crap they try and teach me."
James smiled "ok then," he said, "and you are?" He asked turning to the sandy haired boy, who had just woken up.
*Remus' pov*
He gulped
"Remus Lupin." he replied.
Then a small boy, who was slightly chubby came in, his head hung, tears in his eyes.
"Are you ok?" asked Remus.
"Fine," sniffed the boy "just some jerk called Severus called me a fat rat."
"That's horrible!" shouted James "where is this Snivellous!"
"Woah, cool it uhh, what's your name?" Asked the chubby boy.
"James, but that's beside the point!" he said still cross.
"I'm Peter by the way." said the chubby boy.
"Want any sweets?" asked an old woman, pushing a trolley.
James, Sirius and Peter all went straight to the trolley.
Remus stayed put.

"no Remus you cannot waste my money on stupid sweets" said the voice of Lyall Lupin in Remus' head.
"And don't go trying to make heaps of friends either, you're a danger to people"
Remus sighed, I don't deserve friends. But then when has Remus ever done something wrong Remus can have friends I just won't tell them.

"Don't you want anything Remus?" asked Sirius
"No money."
"Oh, here have my chocolate frogs!" insisted Sirius.
"Yeah and mine!" said James.
Peter handed him 3 chocolates as well.
"No I can't!" said Remus. But the boys insisted.
"I think that we are gonna be great friends!" said Sirius.
*Sirius' pov*

The boys continued to mess around, eat and chat until the train stopped. Then a giant looking man led them across the black Lake and through the doors of Hogwarts.
Then it was time for the sorting.
Sirius was the first of the four boys to be sorted.
Not Slytherin any thing but Slytherin, they'll hate me if I'm Slytherin.
"GRYFFINDOR" bellowed the battered old hat.
The other three boys were sorted into Gryffindor as well, that night none of their dormitory slept (they were the only ones in there, but still). The boys talked forever and luckily the next day was Sunday, as they all slept on the floor until lunch
