The Marauders sat in their dormitory, Remus covered in wounds the full moon was the night before.
"I have an idea of how we can help you Remus" said Sirius, but it's gonna take some time".
"We're listening" said James.
"So, because werewolves in wolf form are only a danger to humans, what if we became Anigmagi" suggested Sirius.
"Can we do that" asked Peter, looking doubtful.
"Well, actually I already started and hopefully will be able to transform by the last full moon this year" Sirius confessed.
So the three boys together started to become Anigmai.

"Hey Sirius" asked James one day, "how come you never bat an eye at all the girls who ask you to hogsmede?".
Sirius looked taken aback.
"Well I dunno, don't really like them". Sirius said slowly.
"Do you fancy someone?" Implored James.
"Not that I know of" said Sirius irritated.
"Would ya date Moony (the marauders decided that this was Remus' nickname)?"
Sirius paused he looked, if possible, paler than usual.
Then said hesitantly, "no... you're joking right" but he couldn't figure out why he felt ill.
"No I'm not joking Sirius, you guys seem like more than friends" said James
"Ahoy ship captain, just cause he likes guys and I... I don't fancy anyone doesn't mean we're meant to be" argued Sirius.
"But it makes sense" said James
"How so" asked Sirius
"Well, you share beds a lot, only you can comfort him, only he can comfort you, you have an endless supply of sweets, including chocolate, his sanity balances your insanity, and you came up with this whole Anigmagus thing" concluded James, then he left Sirius to think.
S*** He has some points, but nah, we're just best friends. I share James's bed sometimes...

James had gone to find Remus and pester him too. He found him, where he had expected, in the library studying.
"Hey Rem, when are you gonna admit to me that you're in undying love with Siri" asked James.
"Ssshh meet me by the lake in an hour, tell no-one, bring no-one" replied Remus.

*an hour later*
"Well what do you want" asked James, impatiently.
"James use the muffliato spell please"
Then Remus said "have it your way, I do fancy Sirius a bit, but if you dare tell him, or anyone for that matter, remember that time I used the bat-boogey hex on Snivellous..."
"Jees ok I won't tell anyone" said James, fear in his eyes.
Then the fear turned to mischief, " Remus and Sirius sitting in a tree..." he sang, but stopped when Remus drew his wand.
Then he went to find Sirius.

Sirius was alone in the dormitory, Peter was asleep in the common room, near the fire.
"God James would you give it up " cried Sirius "I'm not gay"
James went to get ready for bed.
