Friday
(It is now Friday morning, Kairo and Dreux have been separate for a few days and he has moved out. Ty'leah and Kristopher are sitting in Ty'leah's gynecologist office, waiting for the Doctor)
Kristopher: no matter what they tell us, we're going to be okay.
Ty'leah: I know. I just really want it be good news.
(Kristopher takes his wife's hand and kisses the back of it just as the doctor walks in)
Dr. Anderson: (sitting to her desk) okay, Mr. and Mrs. Reigns, good morning. Sorry to keep you waiting...it's been a crazy morning.
Kristopher: not a problem.
Dr. Anderson: (opening a folder) alright. Let me just confirm a few things. Married 10 years?
Ty'leah: coming up on 11.
Dr. Anderson: and no form of contraceptives since then?
(Kristopher nods his head)
Dr. Anderson: okay. And you're regularly having intercourse?
Kristopher: yes ma'am.
(Dr. Anderson makes a few notes and then looks up at the couple)
Dr. Anderson: alright. Well I have you test results here. Mrs. Reigns, I'll begin with you.
Ty'leah: okay.
Dr. Anderson: you've mentioned that you've had irregular periods since puberty?
Ty'leah: that's right.
Dr. Anderson: alright. Well, while not ideal, this just makes conception a little more tricky. Because your ovulation days will never be the same from month to month, I would recommend that you purchase some ovulation kits so that you can better predict your ovulation days. That will give you a better window from month to month of your best days for conceiving. Beyond that, there isn't really much that I can see that needs to be done to assist in your getting pregnant.
Ty'leah: (letting a sigh of relief) okay. I will pick up some kits today.
Dr. Anderson: good. Now, Mr. Reigns. For you, I'm sorry I don't have better news.
Kristopher: what?
Dr. Anderson: how stressed are you? On a daily basis?
Kristopher: oh. Ah...no more than most I suppose.
Dr. Anderson: from what I have gathered from your test results and your intake interview is that you, sir, are a very stressed individual. And the high levels of stress is causing an unbalanced in your hormone levels giving you temporary infertility.
Kristopher: I'm sorry...what? Are you serious?
Dr. Anderson: I'm afraid so. If you would like to give your wife that baby you both want – without the use of IVF – then you need to destress. Are you able to take some time off from work?
Kristopher: ah...that's...no. I am the COO of a billion dollar entertainment company. Time off is not really a luxury that I utilize.
Dr. Anderson: everyone needs a break, Mr. Reigns, including executives.
Ty'leah: we could take a vacation – unplug and unwind. We haven't really done that since our honeymoon. And our anniversary is coming up...
Kristopher: I know, baby, and I'm sorry. It's just been so hectic at work...it's like there's just no time.
Dr. Anderson: maybe you should make the time. You both want this baby. This is a step in the right direction to getting it down. Also, the relaxation will enable you to a better executive and a better husband.
