Chapter 4 - Who's the Bride?
Everyone gasps, no one was expecting that.
I hear a collective number of question, but most people were asking "Who's the bride?", then someone had the guts to scream that question to Quinn.
He laughs "I knew that would be the question most of you would ask. The real answer is that I do not a have a bride yet." Now I'm really confused but I keep listening "But I will find one before my birthday, the bride could be any female in this room. My dad needed my wedding to be a big deal around the world, so his solution is to make the selection of my bride to be a TV show. As you see, all of you will be contestants to be my bride, there will also be girls from around the world coming to study with us at our mansion."
"So we won't be studying at school anymore" asks a brunette beside me. "Yes, my dad thought it would be easier for all the contestants to live at my mansion, it will not be this one, but the one on the outskirts of Seattle. It can room about 200 girls. I understand that some of you will not want to take part in this competition, but my dad promises each girl $1000 per month for however long they stay in the competition. The winner, which will be my wife will receive an extra $100,000 at the end of the competition, with the inheritence of some of my property." Quinn answers "I will be choosing my bride at the end of the 6 months, and at the end of each month I will eliminate some girls. If you wish to participate 100 girls from our school alone will be chosen, you girls are lucky, if you want to participate you can get a form from the school's office on Monday" he continues.
"Well that was a long ass speech" He laughs "LET'S PARTY EVERYONE!!" everyone cheers, and the festivities continued.
After Quinn's suprising announcement, Kayla and I left the party to her house where I would be having a sleepover.

"Are you going to do it?" asks Kayla, we have been sitting on her bed watching rom-coms for the past hour. "I don't want to, but my parents need the money" I tell her honestly. Never in my wildest dreams would I want to be the wife of Quinn Wilson, but my family really needed the money that Quinn is offering, both my parents work 16 hours shift, and I never get to spend time with my parents. I am an only child, and I don't like to spend money, so I don't waste a lot of their money. But, with the mortgage and household expenses we barely save any money each month.
Coming back to reality I head Kayla say something "Sorry, what? "I was just saying that I think you should do it for you family, if you want I can do it with you, and give you my money too" "You're the best friend ever" I hug her and we enjoy the rest of our sleepover.

Today is Sunday, and Kayla just dropped me off at my house. It's a small two room one bathroom house, but it's perfect for my family.
As I enter I see my mom in the kitchen drinking cofee "Hi mom, I'm back" "Hi honey how are you" my mom is really pretty with her green eyes and brown hair, I don't bear any resemblance with her, most of my traits reflect my dad, my skin is just a bit lighter than my dad most likely because of my mom. "Did you just come back from your shift" "Yes Jasmine, but the hospital called again and they want me do to the next shift, which is in an hour" My mom didn't have the best job in the world she was a decently payed nurse, but most of her paycheck goes towards taxes.
"What about dad" I ask "I think he's coming back later tonight" My dad was a taxi driver, so I didn't see him as much as I see my mom. He works night shifts from 3pm to 3 am, when I go to school he is sleeping, and when I come back he is at work. I remeber Quinn's suprise and decide to tell my mom.
"Mom did you year that Quinn is getting married" "Quinn Wilson" "Yes, and he is having this competition for his wife, and I was thinking of doing it" "Are you sure, because you would have to ask your dad for permission"
"Yes, his dad promised the girls $1000 per month, and I know we need the money. Kayla also agreed to do it and she would give us her $1000." "Honey, don't do this only for the money, you have to also think about yourself" "I did mom, and I think I am going to do it, because just look at me I am not going to win, I'm just going there to live in a mansion for a month and get the money and come back."
"Don't say that, how many times have I told you that you're beautiful" "Well....can I do it" "Wait let me call your dad" After calling my dad my mom says that he agrees if that's what makes me happy. I smile at her and hug her, and tell her that we could have a vacation after the month.
I go up to my room and tell Kayla, that I am going to sign up to be Quinn's future wife.
I hope I don't regret it later.
