You look back as the Crux Fleet begins to depart from the emptying port. Suddenly, you lock eyes with a light haired boy hastily boarding the Alcor. For a second, you freeze. His red eyes seem to see right into your mind.
But, just as fast as he looks your way, he looks away and hurriedly boards the leaving vessel.
Was he running from something?
Weird.
Shaking your head and clearing your mind, you look around the port one last time before approaching the woman checking people in from the docks, but two armed guards step into your path.
"Halt! What've you got there on your waist?" one of them sneers, pointing at your outfit. You blink, confused.
"My waist?" You ask, looking down. "Do you mean my vision?"
The guard rolls his eyes. "Precisely! Now, under the Vision Hunt Decree passed by the almighty Raiden Shogun herself, we demand you hand it over." The guard snarls, pointing a sharp spear in your direction
"W-What? No way, this vision is a sign from the Archons!" You protest, slowly backing up in case you needed to flee.
"Fine then, we'll just take it by force!" The other guard said, pointing his pole arm in your direction. Suddenly, a loud BOOM! comes from behind the guards, as a massive colorful fireball launches into the afternoon air.
Before you can get a good look at it though, you are suddenly pulled by the wrist into a dark side alley. Terrified, you spin around, holding your spear in a defensive position and clenching your teeth, ready to fight.
"Hey! S-Stay back! Who are you?"
A small giggle comes from the person behind you as they let go of your arm. "Relax silly, I totally just saved you back there."
The speaker steps into a small patch of light, and before you stands a smiling blonde girl with a fiery twinkle in her eyes. "Nice to meet you! My name's Naganohara Yoimiya, firework extraordinaire!"
You lower your spear and exhale. "Yoimiya? Fireworks? Wait... Ohh, Beidou told me about you!"
"Oooo, you're friends with Beidou? Sweet, you must be a super great person then! Buuuut, here might not be the best place to chit chat, so follow me! And hide your vision!" Yoimiya says as she turns to run from the alley.
"Hey, where'd they go?!" You hear from behind you back at the port, followed by the pounding of feet on pavement. Spotting the guards again, you rush frantically after Yoimiya, slipping your vision securely into your hefty pack.
What a... warm welcome.
