With The Crux's departure and a newly stocked inventory, you and Yoimiya got to work making and delivering high-quality fireworks to the people of Inazuma for the next month or so. Well, Yoimiya did most of the work, anyway.
One day, after delivering a rather large package, you decide to stop by the Komore Teahouse to visit Ayaka and Tohma, as you had done many times in the past. You felt pretty special when visiting there, as only special members of the Yashiro commission normally had entry.
You knock politely before inviting yourself in, and are suddenly greeted by Ayaka herself, with no screen in front of her. Lines of worry run across her elegant face, and before you could say a word, she pulls you inside and quickly shuts the door.
"A-Ayaka? What's the matter? And..." you glance across, only seeing the cute puppy Tarumaru anxiously pacing in circles.
"Where's Tohma? Don't you usually meet him at this hour?" You ask quietly. You feel a knot in your throat, and you hope your worries aren't confirmed.
Ayaka takes a deep breath, and her pale blue eyes look deep into yours. "As I was coming here to meet with him, I heard on the street that the Shogunate had captured him and planned to use his vision in the ceremony celebrating the 100th Vision collected under the Vision Hunt Decree..."
Her fists clench. "I hurried here to see if it were true, and sure enough, he was not here. It's not like him to be late to a meeting without informing me beforehand, so I knew it must be true."
So, you were right.
An ember of anger begins to burn in your heart, and you turn to the door. "No, no, not Tohma too! This has gone too far, we have to save him!"
Ayaka places her delicate hand on your shoulder. "Please, wait! The Traveler has already gone to rescue him, and you must protect yourself and your own Vision."
You gently brush her hand off your shoulder and open the door of the teahouse. "I'm sorry Ayaka, but I'm tired of standing on the sidelines. Tohma is my friend too, and I just know I can do something to help! Stay safe!"
With a quick breath, you bolt out the door, thinking only about where the ceremony could be held.
The Narukami Shrine? No... the statue of Visions! C'mon feet, move faster! Faster!
Your feet almost fly off the ground as you tear towards the statue, where a crowd was beginning to gather. Then, you see him.
Tohma, arms tied, standing before the powerful, almighty Raiden Shogun herself. The Electro Archon, the one who set this entire decree in motion.
The one who caused Kazuha to flee his own home.
Her mere presence sent an electric shiver down your spine, as those cold violet eyes locked onto Tohma's pyro vision. Then, you see the Traveler, their golden eyes wide and wild.
You run to their side, and you both exchange knowing glances. As Tohma's vision begins to fly towards the Shogun's hands, the Traveler lets forth a flash of purple electricity and catches it midair. Meanwhile, you speed to Tohma's side, releasing him from his bonds with a slash of your trusty spear.
Whew, perhaps all that running around with Yoimiya has been doing me good.
Suddenly, the ground beneath you begins to shake, while ominous gray storm clouds gather overheard.
"Ah!" You hear the Traveler's flying friend yell, and you turn your head to see the Raiden Shogun effortlessly pulling a majestic purple sword... from her chest?
Her stormy stare falls upon the Traveler, as sparks of electricity shoot from her blade. "You are an exception. Exceptions, an enemy of eternity."
She raises her sword high into the air, the electricity around it glowing brighter and brighter.
"You will be inlaid upon this statue!"
With a slash of her sword, she and the Traveler are consumed by an electric portal, disappearing from sight. You gasp, and the narrowed eyes of the shogunate guards flick over to you and Tohma. You freeze, scrambling for what to do next.
Oh no... there's so many of them!
