"Ah, fiiiiinally! I feel like we've been walking forever!" You say as you arrive near the back of Naganohara Fireworks.
You and Kazuha had carefully followed the seashore until you reached your definition, careful not to be seen or heard. Kazuha was admittedly better at this than you were, and he saved you from tripping more than a few times.
"Yes, it seems we have finally arrived. Ah, it's been so long..." Kazuha looks from the sea to the city with a faraway look in his eyes. You feel a pang in your chest, realizing how long it's been since you've visited Mondstat. And yet... you feel as though you have something important to do here in Inazuma. Something more than taking photos.
"We should let Mr. Naganohara know these supplies are here." You say, heading around the side of the building and knocking on the door.
"Mr. Naganoharaaaaa! I've got some firework suppliiiiies!" You call. No response. Then it hits you.
Oh no, he can't hear me!
Dejected, you head back around to the shore where Kazuha stood, his hair shining is the rising moonlight.
"Oh? Is no one home?" He asks, concerned.
"Well... yeah, sort of. We'll just have to wait for Yoimiya." You explain.
Kazuha nods. "I see. As long as I can make it back to the Crux by dawn's light, I have no destination to hurry back to. Such is the wondrous schedule of a wanderer."
You laugh as you walk to him, leaving small footprints in the sand. Then, you notice a small red cut just above Kazuha's right wrist. He follows your gaze and holds up his hand.
He narrows his eyes. "Ah, seems one of our treasure hoarding acquaintances caught me off guard. Perhaps my blade has dulled at sea."
Suddenly, an idea pops into you head. "Hold on, watch this," you say with a cheeky grin.
He won't expect this one.
You take out your trusty spear and point it towards Kazuha's wrist, and he raises his eyebrows, startled.
"Wait wait, just watch." You reassure him. Finally, you can show off your own skills. You close your eyes slowly, and focus on the tip of your spear. You feel the Vision hidden in your pack begin to heat up.
Rush of a river
Sweet as a spring
Courage of a currentWhen you open your eyes, a deep blue hue spills from the tip of your spear. Then...
Pop!
One by one, clear blue bubbles float from your spear, and Kazuha's eyes widen in surprise. One of the bubbles touches his wrist, and promptly bursts, covering his wound in clear water. In seconds, the redness fades, and the cut begins to heal rapidly. Seconds later, his skin is as smooth as polished porcelain.
Kazuha lifts his eyes from his wrist, speechless. "That... was simply incredible. Can you also manipulate elements without a Vision, such as the Traveler?"
You chuckle, and descreetly reach into the pocket of your pack to reveal your vision. "Sorry to disappoint, but I'm just a regular ol' vision-bearer. Nothing special."
Kazuha shakes his head. "Nothing special? You clearly underestimate your own abilities. The gift of healing is not so easily mastered, you know. Adventurers pay a high price to hire healers for their travels."
You hurriedly put away your vision and shrug at Kazuha's comment. "Well I wouldn't say I've "mastered" anything. It just sort of happens if I focus. I'm not really the beat at actual combat."
"Hmmm..." Kazuha puts his hand to his chin. Then, he walks down the sea shore, eyes darting back and forth. Finally, he finds what he's looking for.
After a moment, he tosses something your way. "Here, take this. It's a bamboo blade I just made. With these, we can practice sparring without getting injured." He calls smoothly.
"S-Sparring? And wait, you just made that? So quickly?" You stutter. You honestly aren't a big fan of combat.
Kazuha walks back over to you on the sand, swinging his own bamboo sword in hand. "You said you're not too proficient in combat, yes? Why not use this time to practice while we wait for our explosive friend's return? It sounds like a fine way to pass the time."
Once again, his ruby eyes seem to see right through you. You gulp. "Well.... I guess we could try it."
