"Thank you Matthew." My father said. As Matthew brought tea and biscuits for us. Today I was spending the morning with father and we were both avoiding mother.

"So what are your thoughts?" Father asked me as I served his tea and set it on his desk.

"I Still think you should go with Mr.Cox's ship. He has the highest rate of ships that come back from the islands. I bet someone could make good money investing in his boats. Just picking the right one is the only problem." I said

"And how is it that you know so much about ships and investing?"

"Father you act as if I was not raised listening to you and sitting in that corner" he smiled and continued to read his letter.

"Father what if I wanted to start a business?" I asked as my mind wondered with a million ideas.

"Do you have an idea?"

"Yes, but I'm not sure if it's a good one."

"You want to tell me about it?"

"There is a seamstress from France at the stocks. She is quite talented. Her work is a bit different then the regular old things we see every day. If I were to put her on the spot light I think she could make good money with her talent. She already has so many objects to sell. She is just hidden behind rugs and goats out there."

"Should I ask what you were doing in the stocks in the first place" he chuckled

"I just wished I could bring her out to the light."

"If you think this is a good idea first you need to find a partner."

"I have all the money I need. There is a shop on Heaven street that used to be for something but the space is empty and would be perfect. One of the first stores you see when you enter the street. If I could get my friends to wear a few pieces then more would flock at the entrance."

"You are My daughter. first I won't ask where you came to have your own money." He chuckled again "and second most of the men won't make deals with women you need to find a front man that you could pay for his service. A good one is Mr. Jones. He has a true eye for business"

"You mean the man from the black Diamond?"

"Your brothers need to keep a better eye on you and not talk of such things in front of you." He said, but little did he know "but yes that Mr. Jones. He is the front man for a few business that the real owners don't want to do the work. He makes the contracts and license that you might need. But he does require a pretty size coin to do this service for you."

"Where might I find this Mr. Jones."

"Well-" he was cut off when the door opened wide to reveal my mother.

"There you are Alice I have been looking for you everywhere you have callers." I guess i would not be spending my time in peace.

"Excuse me father." I said as I put my cup down on the table and walked out of the room to the blue sitting room where we don't usually took our guests. My mother was not far behind me.

"Hello gentlemen, I do apologize for my absence." The three men stood as I walked into the room and took a seat on a chair across from the velvet sofa.

"Mr.Brighton it is nice to see you once more. How is your family?"

"They are just fine miss Coves"

"And your brother, enjoying the married life?"

"He is but quite content." He answered.

"Mr. Farrling it is lovely to see you. I don't believe I saw you at the ball last night." Mr. Farrling was a lawyer but with a handsome face.
