Finding Love

Chapter 11

Once the dress was off of me and I was dressed in My brothers old clothing. I made my way down the stairs as quiet as I could while caring the dress. I made it around the corner about to walk out the garden door. when I hear "And where do you think your going with that?" Josephs laughter made me laugh.

"Taking it to give it a proper farewell." I said turning around to find all of my brothers and Mark standing dressed out of there dinner jackets and in there day suits about to leave my guess to the Black Diamond.

"Well lets go then." George said picking up part of the dress that was dragging.

"Lets go and after we can all go to the club." Joseph said grabbing the shoes that I had ties the laces together and thrown them over my shoulder. "These have to go to?" He asked

"Oh Most definitely" They were giggling like little school girls. So they had already started drinking there port. What was the point in going to the club when they were all ready heavily drinking? I was not going to point out this fact because a bigger part of me really wanted to the club and see Ezra again and I was trying to decided if this was a good thing or a bad thing.

We tied the dress with giant rocks and the shoes and duped the bundle in the pond at the end of the garden.

Once we were done we went to the club. Again entering like last time but the only difference is that we stayed together drinking more then we should have this time just beer. After the first one you do get used to the taste, or drunker.

After a few games I had lost two and decided to play with new players. I move to a table with Mr. Morgan who was my friend Kate's father. Thee other older men I did not know.

"Hello is it Mr. Morgan I do Believe. Is this chair available?"

"Yes go sir. Do we know each other."

"No sir but I am a friend of the Coves who mentioned you were sitting here."

"Oh well yes Fine man Lord Coves." We played a few times I lost the first game but won the rest. After I won I felt like stretching my legs so I got up walked around till I found an empty seat by a window as I was about to sit a young man walked up to me.

"Are you Sir Alex?"

"Why yes I am what can I do for you?"

"Please fallow me Sir."

"All right then. Who has asked for me?" He said quiet as I followed him behind through empty hall and up a stair case I remember as the ones Ezra escorted me out in. Could it be him that has called for me? All of the sudden my heart fluttered and I got so excited and then the thought came to me, he has called me up to his office where street runners await me to take me home and expose me. He did say he would do it if I did come back. But getting to know him I didn't think he would do that to me. Instead of being excited now I was feel this offal dread deep in the pit of my stomach. The young man stopped at Ezra's door and opened it and waited for me to walk in as I did to nerves to look ahead I watched as the man closed the door behind me. closing me in. Finally I looked up.

"Don't look so scared."

"Your Grace." I curtsied "forgive me I was not expecting this."

"No I bet you were not. You know you look quite funny curtsying dressed as a man."

"I am certain I do." I laughed unsure if this was a good thing or a bad thing.

"Please Alice sit." Gestured to the sofa. I took a seat right away. "I wanted a moment to speak with you alone and unsure if I would ever get the chance but here you are. Do you come to the Black Diamond often?"
