Finding Love

Chapter 21

Once we were done with dinner with Ezra, we all sat down in one of his sitting rooms that was oddly small and not as grand compared to the rest of the house it was quite lovely. It was colored in dark blue, gold, brown some light blues. It is most defiantly not something I would have chosen but it was warm and comforting. As if this were the family's sitting area. 

"What about this one?" George asked about some of the paintings on the wall which were all of Ezra's. 

"That one is of an estate I own in France. It is where my mother is currently living."

"Your work is quite impressive." John said 

"Thank you John. If you don't mind one day I would like to sit down with you and talk about opening a new club in Cambridge if that interested you."

"Yes I think I might be." 

"Good, Good." Ezra said as he then took a seat next to me.

"So I was unaware that we were going to start inviting others to the wedding."

"I am sorry about that I feel I should have asked you that first."

"No its fine, It is your wedding as well."

"I just thought that your notion of a wedding did not consist of a secret wedding. And I guess with my title there is little that Taylor can do at this point and so why not invite the whole city and make it a large as you want it to be."

"Well thank you Ezra I am sure my mother would have loved that."

"You are not going to tell her?" George asked

"I don't think so, It is quite late for a proper wedding with the wedding being tomorrow."

"I am certain that mother can arrangements if she wanted too. Why don't you send word just letting her know and see if she can do anything about it and if not then no harm done." George said. 

"Yes and if mother were to find out that she was aloud to announce the wedding, you will never hear the end of it." John added 

"I guess you are right." I said 

"All right as nice as this moment is can we go to the club now?" Joseph said. George, John and Joseph looked at me in question 

"I don't know what you are all looking at me for, he owns the club and I think it be a bit improper now that I am to be married." I said 

"Nonsense, the only difference now is that when you go you don't have to go dresses as a man." Ezra said. we all looked at him in surprise 

"You would allow a women into your Gentlemen's club?" I asked

"I don't see why my wife would not be aloud and as for as women I was hoping you could put together a night for women and men might come and play together?" 

"oh really? That sounds like an amazing idea."

"I thought so." He answered as we all stood up and followed him out of the house and into the carriage to the club the five of us went. 

Once there my brothers were the first ones off and into the building they went. Ezra held onto my hand. holding me in place from leaving the carriage. 

"I would like to give you something that I have had in my possession for some time now. But I keep missing the moments to give it to you." Ezra said as he reached in his pocket for a small black box. 

"What is it?" I asked. Then he opened it to reveal a ring inside 

"This one belonged to my Grandmother on my mother side she gave it to me to give to my future wife."
