I woke up feeling so sick. Margret woke me up when she entered my room with a rattling tray of my breakfast.

"I am so sorry Alice but your mother wants you up and ready and awaiting suitors in the green sitting room." I made a noise of great discomfort. My head was spinning and my stomach ached.

"I wish nothing more then to sleep for the rest of the year."

"Fine but I will not be blamed when she walks into this room to get you up her self." My worst nightmare and she knew it.

I got up very slowly from my bed and walked up to my vanity. To my surprise and delight she had not brought eggs but tea and an odd color drink. "Margret what is this?"

"The cooks special drink to help with your head and drunkenness. One has been given to all the coves children."

"Children?"

"Yes children you woke all of the house hold at two in the morning with all the Yelling and noise. I am most shocked that it didn't wake your parents"

"I didn't believe we were that loud. This is a large house."

"And yet we all heard your game and how you tried to punch John for winning."

"Oh no."

"Come drink up, What dress will you be wearing today?"

I lifted the drink to smell it. "I think the dull light green." It didn't smell to bad a bit of onion and mushroom.

"All right then but your mother might be upset." The dress was not one of her favorites.

"It is fine I tell her that I could come up stairs and change into the grey one." That one she loathed. I was still surprised she had not found a way to be rid of the dress. It was probably the reason that I got new dresses before we made our way to London.

I started to drink the mixture and to my surprise it tasted nothing like Onions but like tomato and something else that I could not pinpoint some kind of alcohol. "Does This have alcohol?"

"I have no Idea." I took another drink not instantly feeling better but my stomach feeling not as sick.

Once I was ready and drank all of my drink I some how made my way down stairs into the Green Sitting room. Where I found my mother with the sowing box.

"Come time to practice your needle point." My head was still hurting and it did not help sitting in this room with all the windows opened. I grabbed the things I needed and sat in a far chair in the corner of the room hiding in the shadows.

"Not feeling good? That should teach you to ask like a man and drink and play all night." I just ignored the comment and worked on focusing on the piece I was working on Which I was making little forget me not's on a white handkerchief. Not long after Mark comes in. He must of gone home last night not that I remember much. He talked to my mother for some time before she gave up.

"It looks like no one will be visiting you today. I am going to go take my tea in the library." She left us there. Not to seconds later my three brothers come down stairs also fallowed by my father. I took the opportunity to call Matthew.

"Matthew can you bring some tea and some one to close the drapes just a bit, Thank you"

"So you were with them last night?"

"Oh yes and she was being a sore loser." John said

"That is because you gave me to much port and I could not focus."

"No that was not our fault, your mind was else where and kept serving your self more." George said.

"none sense. That is not what happened." The boys just laughed
