We are surrounded by death, no matter where you look. Death of plants and animals so that we can eat, and death in battle, too. We cannot ignore this fact.
But we shouldn't ignore the fact that we are surrounded by life, either. New life created by birth, by rediscovery, and by protecting others, we preserve life. This is all a part of nature, it's strange ways, and how it wants things to go.
Thought of this in the shower.
