Not trying to be mean, but shut up, please?

I was sitting on the bus this morning trying to get a few extra minutes of shut-eye, and then close to the school, this middle schooler starts belting out that new Adele song that's been all the rage lately, and I mean, its OK for you to sing in public, there's nothing wrong. The thing is, 9 out of 10 people don't appreciate it when someone starts sing a song OVER AND OVER AND FLIPPING OVER WHEN THEY'RE TRYING TO SLEEP. The entire time I wanted to tell her to please be quiet so I could sleep, but I thought that would be rude so I just plugged my ears for 10 minutes straight while the person kept singing. And then people stare at ME and call me rude because I don't want to listen to someone who thinks they're a good singer when they're not. 'Cause I don't plan to just grin and bear it, that's not within my level of patience, let alone in the morning.

It sucks when you're trying to be nice to people. You suffer a little more than necessary.
