I was sitting outside the fro yo place as the sun beat down. It was hot, I was regretting wearing denim capris and wished I had opted for shorts or a dress. Thankfully I had chosen a tank top, so even though the bottom half of me was suffocating in heat my top wasn't. I was beginning to wonder if Kian was really going to show up, I debated what I would do if he didn't show up. I decided I would pretend to get a text and then head toward the Jamba Juice up the street so people would think that I just happened to be at the wrong place.

I felt two hands cup around my eyes and my heart skipped a beat. I felt as if I was rushed with anxiety, butterflies in my stomach.

"Guess who?" Kian's familiar voice whispered in my voice.

"Zac Efron?" I laughed raising my hands and placing them on his, just before he pulled them away and spun around jumping in front of me with a huge grin.

"Nice try! But I'm better looking than him anyways... So it's all good," he laughed giving me a thumbs up.

I laughed, standing up from the table anticipating that we would be heading inside to get yogurt now that he had arrived.

"Whoa, little lady. You can stay right there!" Kian said pulling my chair back out for me to sit down again.

"Umm what?" I was confused as I sat back down.

"I'll be right back with our yogurt," he said heading toward the shop's door but turning back at the last second. "Allergies?"

"None," I laughed as he smiled and headed back to the door.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't terrified of what concoction he was going to bring back to me. If it was nasty would I have to eat it anyways? Would he be offended if I didn't? My heart felt like it was going to pound out of my chest as I waited. Should I just get up and runaway? I liked to think I was now an expert at the whole running away thing. I took a deep breath trying to stay calm, looking up at the sky.

I had always loved the sky, something about it made the world feel so large. No matter if you're in some crappy small town or in a big city. You can look up to the sky and it is the same sky that everyone else is seeing. It's so expansive, reminds you that you aren't trapped. There is more out there and some day you can see it all.

"Here we are," Kian smiled sitting a cup of yogurt in front of me. Vanilla piled with cookie dough, M&M's, and sprinkles. His the exact same. I was thankful that it wasn't something strange. "Sometimes I go for fruit but today I was feeling sugar on top of sugar."

I laughed, "Not gonna lie I was kind of afraid you were gonna bring me something totally nasty."

"Wow! Thanks for having faith in me!" he laughed digging into his yogurt. "So tell me about you."

Something about that statement made me panic. What was I meant to say? I was perhaps one of the most ordinary and boring people in the world. It felt like the first day of school when the teacher makes everyone go around the room and say something about themselves.

One year, my teacher made us say something that we liked that also began with the first letter of our name. Easy for the other kids, David likes dogs, Penny likes pudding, Katie likes Kites, Mason likes Macaroni, etc. It got to be my turn and I panicked! Ella likes eggplant. Eggplant! For the rest of the day people kept asking me about my love for eggplants! I had never eaten an eggplant before!

"Don't be shy," he laughed, nudging me with his foot, bringing me back to reality.

"Ummm, well my name's Ella, I'm 19." I was interrupted.

"No, I don't mean tell that boring small talk stuff. Tell me something bigger than that!" Kian laughed.

I paused for a moment, taking my time chewingon the chunk of cookie dough in my mouth so I could rethink what to say.
