The next morning I awoke to Kian kissing my cheek. I had stayed at his house and I had to admit it was the best sleep I had gotten since I arrived. Getting to sleep in a non hotel bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. The innocence of sleeping next to him felt more intimate than being intimate. It felt as if we had seen each other in our most vulnerable states.

"Where are you going?" I asked peeking one I open as the weight shifted on the mattress.

"Shower, then I have to shoot some stuff with Jc and JJ," he said digging through his closet. "Will you be ok here alone?"

"For how long?" my heart started racing with panic, not from being alone but from being alone in Kian's house.

"A shower takes like twenty minutes, the shoot should take like two hours tops."

"Ok," I said slowly glancing to the clock.

"I'll be back in time for lunch," he smiled heading into the bathroom.

I was in a state of panic, what was I meant to do alone here for hours? I closed my eyes and tried to avoid thinking about it. I was awoken as Hazel jumped on the bed and licked my face clean. I attempted to hide under the blankets until Kian popped his head underneath.

"You have a nice nap?" he laughed.

"I was until I got a doggy bath. I don't know that it counts as a nap considering it's still morning."

"Science," he laughed. "I'm off but I'll be back by lunch time."

"See you soon," I offered a smile to hide my nerves.

"Soon," he smiled kissing my forehead before he pulled himself out of the blankets. I felt the weight on the mattress shift as both Kian and Hazel left the room. I was alone.

I sat upright, looking around the room. It had been less than a minute and I was already bored. I debated going back to sleep for a minute but I knew better. I head already slept way too late. I crawled out from under the covers in an attempt to do something with myself. I headed into the bathroom in hopes of taking a shower.

I found a stack of clean towels on a shelf behind the door and turned the shower dial to warm water. I pulled off Kian's clothes I had slept in and hopped in. The warm water felt comforting on my cool skin. I stood for a moment letting the water run over my entire body before using Kian's hair products to wash my hair. The scent was slightly fruity yet clean. I watched as the bubbles circulated the drain and my pink painted toes. I reached for his shower gel, as I flipped the cap I was overwhelmed with the scent. It smelled just like Kian's hug, warm and musky. I squirted a bit into my hands before working it into a lather and rinsing. I stood for a moment as the water ran over me, breathing in deeply and taking in the scent, before turning off the water. I quickly dried before realizing that I didn't have any clothes. I put on underwear, wishing that I would have known I wouldn't be going back to the hotel last night.

I scurried to the closet searching through the shirts before settling on a plain blue one. I glanced toward his jeans, knowing that was never going to work out I pulled a pair of plaid boxers out of the drawer. They were baggy enough to look like shorts and I was thankful considering I didn't have many options here. I looked in the mirror and laughed out loud at myself. I look ridiculous but I was ok with that.

I headed out to the kitchen in hopes of finding something to snack on. I was hungry and needed to be held over until Kian got back for lunch. I was greeted by Hazel who was sitting by the back door.

"Do you need to go outside? Do you need to potty?" She stood and turned toward the door and I slid it open as she shifted and ran out toward the grassy side yard. I left the door open, letting in fresh air and giving Hazel the option of coming in or out.

The fridge was almost empty except for various drinks and condiments. I should have known considering it was a bro house. I searched the cabinet until I spotted a familiar box of cereal. Cinnamon Toast Crunch, my favorite. I pulled the box out and went back to the fridge for milk. Luckily there was a new gallon.

I sat at the bar in the kitchen pouring a bowl of cereal and watching Hazel run around outside. I finished off the cereal and started to scroll through my phone. I had been trying to avoid social media until I arrived back home so that I wouldn't have to answer questions from people that I didn't want to answer. I flipped through instagram looking through the photos of friends back home, being careful not to like anything. I wanted to still appear to be gone from that world until I had to go back. Hazel ran inside looking up at me with happy eyes. I glanced at the clock on my phone.

"Daddy will be back in an hour," I smiled. "What should we do until then?"

She turned her head and looked outside before looking back at me.

"Should we go outside?" I paused waiting for an answer though I knew there wouldn't be one.

I headed outside and Hazel followed. We sat by the pool, I dipped my toes in as she napped. I took this moment to listen to the silence. Kian's house was just far enough away from the city that you could hear silence and breathe without feeling overwhelmed by smog. Hazel sat up and ran inside and I followed closing the door behind me.

I wondered through the house as Hazel played downstairs. Looking around it seemed insane to imagine that three young adult men lived here. YouTube must certainly treat them well. I headed back to Kian's room. I couldn't help but feel nosy as I looked around. It was a total mess but looked better than it had on the day of our pizza fight. I made the bed, knowing Kian never did, it made the room look a bit more put together.

I made my way back toward the living room, plopping down on the couch next to a sleeping Hazel. I laid next to her, deciding to take her advice.
