Vision Lesson - Chapter 8

It's later on in the day. You tried to cover up the now bruise on your face with make up but none of it seemed to cover it completely. It didn't matter how much foundation, concealer or any other skin toned makeup you used, it wouldn't cover. Giving up, you left the room, covering it up as best as you could. Leaving the room you head towards his room again. You didn't want to see him but you knew you had to. You knock on his door and see him there looking down at you

Scaramouche: what are doing he?!-

He looks at your cheek

Scaramouche: *chuckles* wow, I really did get you good earlier huh?

You decide to ignore his remark

Y/n: is there anything you need from me sir?
Scaramouche: sir? Haha i guess I must have hit you REALLY hard?!
Y/n: I work for you now... I'm just here to see what I'm supposed to do from here
Scaramouche: well you can start by learning how to use that vision of yours. It'll be useful to use for when you are needed
Y/n: and how do I do that?
Scaramouche: *sighs* since Childe left and there's no one else here with a vision, I'm gonna have to teach you. You should have asked Childe for help when he was here. Instead of hiding in your room like a depressed teenager!
Y/n: I was only hiding because I didn't want YOU to hurt me
Scaramouche: well look where that got you

He points to your cheek. You held it, hiding it from him

Y/n: can you just show me what to do?! Instead of commenting on my damn cheek!
Scaramouche: fine! move your ass and grab a weapon from the armoury room and meet me at the front door in 10 minutes!

You leave his room, huffing at his tone. When you meet him at the front door, you managed to find a bow and some arrows. While waiting, Scaramouche sees you and pinches his nose in an annoyed posture

Scaramouche: you seriously chose a bow?!
Y/n: why? What's wrong with it?
Scaramouche: *sighs* you're just getting more and more like Childe. Honestly, why couldn't he have taught you this shit? *sighs* fine, come on, let's just get this over with.

Scaramouche walks ahead and you follow behind. You both eventually arrive at a camp on the outskirts of the city. It's a training area for Fatui to train. There's a little clearing for you and Scaramouche to test out your vision. A lot of the Fatui that were training either stared at you both as you made your way past or hid away, so they hid away from Scaramouche so they didn't get in any trouble. In the clearing, Scaramouche stands still and turns to face you, with his arms crossed

Scaramouche: first you'll need to get used to your visions power, before you start using a weapon with it so throw it aside for now

Scaramouche: now, for your vision to work, it needs to come from a certain emotion. Each vision is different. Hydro however comes from a place of sadness... apparently the hydro archon became an archon due to her feeling a Great Depression. She came to this world as well as the other archons, to help bring justice for others. She wanted her people to have happy lives. So, from what I can gather, you were chosen to have this vision because you faced a similar sadness to hers. Anyways, the hydro archon was then known as the god of justice, fighting for what was right. This is what you should be feeling when using your power. Especially when first starting out
Y/n: why do I need to know all this?
Scaramouche: because! To be familiar with how to use a vision, you need to know what it's story actually is!
Y/n: I guess that makes sense? It's kinda interesting actually
Scaramouche: *sighs* despite being a harbinger, I do admire the archons backstories. They are meaningful and interesting. But the hydro archons is definitely a personal favourite of mine.
Y/n: can you tell me a little more about her?
Scaramouche: I suppose. Her name was Mizu. However, she is no longer the hydro archon
Y/n: why is that?
Scaramouche: after the archon war 2 thousand years ago, she passed down her legacy to her most trusted friend. She took the honour. As for what happened to Mizu, no one knows but the archons. But they would never tell anyone why she did what she did. She has been missing ever since
Y/n: wow that's...
Scaramouche: yeah... anyways let's just focus on your vision now. Remember what I told you?
