You and Zhongli finally pull apart. He smiles at you and wipes your eyes as you smile back at him. Scaramouche then finally walks up to you both.
Zhongli: why are you working with the Fatui? Are you in some sort of trouble? You do realise how dangerous they are?!
Y/n: they're here to help me... Childe's my friend and Scaramouche is-
Scaramouche: I'm her boyfriend
He crosses his arms and gives a stern look to Zhongli.
Zhongli: is this true?!?!
Y/n: yes
Zhongli: of all the things you could have done with your mortality and this is what you decide?!
Scaramouche: hey I'm no fan of you either!
Zhongli: y/n, he's a harbinger! You can't trust him!
Y/n: actually at the moment he's a fugitive... he saved me... and he loves me... and I love him
Zhongli: you have no idea what this man has done! Or Childe for that matter!
Childe: and I thought we were friends
Zhongli: *sighs* I am more then aware of what you are capable of though... she however is not!
Y/n: I know what they are BOTH capable of! And I can handle it!
Zhongli: not while you're mortal!
Y/n: I'm not asking for your permission...
Zhongli: *sighs* fine! I'll not argue with you further... but I'm keeping an eye on both of them
Scaramouche: be my guest... just don't expect me to not passionately kiss her for your own benefit *smirks*
Zhongli: I may not be as strong as I once was. But I can still kick your!-
Y/n: Morax!
Zhongli: *sighs* if you really want to find a solution to save Fontaine. We best go find some answers for a solution. We can discuss the matter at my office.
Scaramouche: ugh do we have to go back to that weirdos funeral parlour
Zhongli: yes, if you really do want to help Mizu
Y/n: actually it's y/n
Zhongli: *sighs* I know... it's just going to take some time for me to get used to your original name
You all leave the mountain and head back to the city. You arrive at the parlour and Hu Tao is there again
Hu Tao: ah! You've returned with Mr Zhongli!
Scaramouche instantly walks past ignoring her
Zhongli: hello director. If it's alright with you I'd like to take my friends here-
Scaramouche: I'm not your friend!
Scaramouche yells from further ahead
Zhongli: I'd like to take my friends and ACQUAINTANCE to my office to discuss some private matters
Hu Tao: oh ok! Is it a business deal?!
She got excited
Zhongli: no sorry to say
Hu Tao: oh... well I guess that's ok
Y/n: thank you
You all head to Zhongli's office. When you go inside, Zhongli sits in his chair. You sit in the chair in front of him, where as Childe and Scaramouche sit down by a coffee table, opposite each other at the side of the room.
Zhongli: so all we know about this whirlpool is that it was created when Osial left. And the only thing keeping it at bay is the hydro gnosis
Y/n: Childe how exactly did you bring Osial back?
Zhongli: you're not considering bringing Osial back are you?!
Y/n: no! But it might be connected in some way!
Childe: well I used Fatui Sigils of permission. They were replicated by the Fatui, from Rex lapis' sigils of permission
Y/n: who's Rex lapis?
Zhongli: I am
Y/n: wait you're Rex lapis, Morax AND Zhongli?
Zhongli: it's complicated
Y/n: what exactly can these sigils do?
Zhongli: they bring back creatures I have defeated as well as souls who I helped in the past who deserved a second chance... the truth is, in the archon war, it wasn't just Osial that we had to defeat. There was many others. But Osial was the only one that was once friendly... but he was the source of all the other creatures. He brought them here to destroy teyvat. If Osial was dead... so were the other threats. Osial never actually died however... well he did in a matter of speaking. His body was deceased but his soul lived on. The sigil took his spirit away and trapped it. Since Osial is a creature made of water. He could easily have his soul found a new host.
Y/n: could the sigil in some way help us to fix Fontaine?
Zhongli: it's hard to say. I don't know how we would use it to find something to stop the whirl pool.
Scaramouche: I think you should bring Osial back
Zhongli: what?!
Y/n: what?!
Childe: what?!
Scaramouche: think about it. Mizu believed that she could tame Osial again. And there had to be some reason as to why he went aggressive! Maybe our best option is to bring him back to find the actual source to our problems
Zhongli: this is ridiculous! I won't let you bring back that monster based on a theory!
Childe: you let me do it before
Zhongli: that was different! I knew the traveler would defeat Osial alongside the adeptus. And I knew that was just a distraction. No one actually got hurt from his small return
Y/n: traveller? Wait didn't you once mention him to me childe?!
Childe: yes, his name is aether. Bit of an annoying opponent. But he sure can hold his own. Great for training I must say *chuckles*
Y/n: could he help?
Scaramouche: ugh you seriously want to talk to that little shit? And his mascot?
Y/n: what?
Childe: you'll see *smirks*
Scaramouche: going to see aether isn't going to get us anywhere. It's a waist of time!
Zhongli: something we can finally agree on
Y/n: but if he can help us keep Osial distracted. Maybe I can find what is wrong with Osial
Zhongli: not a chance!!
Y/n: fine, come on Childe let's go!
Childe: right behind you girlie!
You storm out and Childe follows behind, he smiles. Enjoying the fact he knew it would annoy Scaramouche. Scaramouche then gave a huff and tried to chase after you. Zhongli however tried to stand his ground. He then thought about the possible chance he could lose you again and then ran to catch up with you as well
