Part 8

He slept for a long time, He must of needed it.

I stayed by his side while he slept, I couldn't really move either, since he was hugging me in his sleep. so if I moved he would wake up.

Mean while, I tried to think what Dave could use for some sunglasses because his are broken. I sighed and shifted in his arms a bit. I took out my contacts and sighed, closing my eyes, humming softly. Dave needs to start caring for himself, because he's skinny, and by how long he's been sleeping, he hasn't gotten enough sleep. I opened my eyes and observed him. his lips where slightly parted open letting out steady breaths. He's been sleeping for long time. what was he? sleep deprived or something? I looked at his his hands. then I took one hand in mine quietly.

Why did he always hide how he feels?

It must of been the way he was raised by his brother, to be 'cool' and not show emotion. What a moron his brother was. now Dave was in emotional turmoil because of it.

I felt Dave shift, and I pulled away my hand from his quietly and quickly.

He opened his eyes and stared at me. "hey." he said quietly.

"Hey..." I said and looked at him. "Nice nap?" I added softly.

"Yeah..." he said.

"well you practically slept a whole day. whens the last time you slept?" I asked.

"since bro died." he muttered quietly.

I sighed quietly.

"OK I know you have been drinking apple juice and energy drinks, but whens

the last time you ate." I asked worried.

He remained silent.

"want me to get you something to eat?" I asked.

"No I'm ok." he said.

I groaned. "Fine. For now. But I will make you eat Strider." I said in a stern tone.

"Yeah ok mom." he said and rolled his eyes.

I let out a half hearted laugh.

He looked at me. "You took off your contacts." He said bluntly.

"Yeah It was only fair." I muttered.

"Thanks."
