Can't Have You

Chapter 6

When I look up I see Liam and Mia walking into the dinning room holding hands. No matter how hard I try I just can't take my eyes off their hands.

"Charlotte, are you okay?" I hear someone say.

"Uh.... Yeah I'm good,  just little hungry." I reply back with a small smile.

"Oh Charlotte sweety why didn't you say so dinner won't be ready for a another 30 minutes, do you think you could wait?" Karen ask me.

"Yeah, yeah I'll be fine." I say.

"Okay than I'll call you all when I'm done." Karen says as she makes her way back to kitchen.

"Charlotte this is Mia, Mia this is Charlotte." Liam says introducing me to his girlfriend. And I can't denie the fact that she's pretty. She's wearing a very pretty dark blue dress with black high heels (makes me wish I wear a dress and some heels) her blonde hair is curled and it stops at her shoulders. And her hazel eyes are big and beautiful.

"It's so nice to finally meet you Charlotte, I've heard so much about you." Says Mia.

"It's nice to finally meet you too Mia." I lie with a fake smile.

"I'll be in my office." Liam's dad Geoff says as he exits.

The three of us are just standing in the dinning room looking at each other. I start to look around the room and bit my finger nails, something I always do when I'm in a awkward situation. When I look back at Mia she's already staring at me with a look that I can't quite make out on her face. She notice me noticing her looking at me and turns her attention to Liam.

"Liam baby, why don't we go into the living room in sit down I'm tired." She says.

"Okay. Charlotte would you like to join us?" Liam ask me.

"No thank you. I was gonna go and see if your Mom needed any help with dinner." I say nothing wanting to sit in a room in watch them be all in love and stuff.

After that I make my way into the kitchen with Karen.

"Karen do you need any help?" I ask.

"No dear, I'm fine." She reply.

"Oh, well can I just sit in here with you and watch you cook?" I asks.

"Yeah if that's What you want dear." Says Karen with a sweet smile.

I take a seat and watch Karen cook.

"Charlotte why aren't you in there with Liam and Mia?" Asks Karen.

"I kinda don't wanna be in there why their being all in love and stuff." I answer honestly.

"Oh, it bothers you to see him with Mia?" She asks me and my cheeks heat up.

"Uh..... well..... kinda." I say looking down at my hands to embarrassed to look Karen in her face.

"It's okay Charlotte. I already know you still have feelings for Liam." Karen says walking over to me from the stove.

"Y-you do? But h-how?" I stutter.

"You're Mum called me last night and told me about your little break down you had after you found out he had a girlfriend." She explains to me.

"How could she do this to me." I say about to cry. I'm hurt that my Mom would call my ex'boyfriends mother and tell her I'm still in love with her son.

"Charlotte sweety don't cry,  it's nothing to be embarrassed about." Karen says.

"I can't believe she would do this to me." I say this time crying.
