It’s funny to me how insignificant you can become in someone’s life. It doesn’t matter if you have permanent ties, painful secrets shared between you, or even just history together.
They will drop you once you do not have what they need from you.
The only benefit to this- finding out who really cares for you. I’ve been there for every breakup, every fight with your mom, every ‘I think I’m fat’ day. And all I wanted was to have some of that affection shared my way.
I’m not important to these people.
They are more than okay- if not better without me around.
I will remember this when they need me. I will remember this when the only reason they want to see me, is because they need something.
Permanent ties, painful secrets or history- it doesn't matter. You don’t matter.
The best part?
You didn’t even do anything wrong.
