Samantha tapped her light pink colored nails on the dark, oak table. He blonde hair was pulled back in a simple, yet elegant, braid. She had a light pink jacket over a white blouse and some jeans, her white flats resting on her feet. Beside her was Celestina and Olivia.

Celestina had a long sleeved blue sweater with a thin black North Face vest on top and a pair of jeans. She had on a pair of black boots and grey leg warmers inside them, peeking out from the top.

Olivia pulled her hair over her left shoulder, smoothing her black blouse and blue jeans. She crossed her ankles, sighing heavily, holding her black jacket in her arms.

Finally the door opened and all three ladies turned to see Chase step in and he froze upon seeing them. “Melissa!” He yelled, storming back out and to his secretary. “Those three women are to wait out here until I personally bring them inside.”

“I’m sorry Mr. Simmons, but Mrs. Simmons threatened to fire me and make sure no place in Illinois would hire me.” Melissa stuttered and Chase huffed out in annoyance, rubbing his temples before nodding.

“It’s fine, but please, next time, keep them from going in. She can’t do anything to you as long as you work for me.”

Chase sighed heavily before fixing his blazer and ran a hand through his hair. He walked back to his office, seeing his mother and Celestina almost red in the face with anger and Olivia glaring at him, annoyed.

“What brings this unfortunate surprise?” He sighs, closing the door behind him and walking behind his desk.

“You know very well why we’re here Chase Simmons.” Samantha snaps. “And you apologize to us right now.”

“I have a meeting in fifteen minutes so I suggest you start talking or I will kick you all out.” Chase stated, turning his computer on and looking at the clock.

Olivia looked over at Samantha and rested her hand on her knee. Samantha looked at her and sighed, signaling her that it was okay. Olivia sat straight up and looked at Chase who was watching her and she took a breath.

“Chase, your mother and I were talking, as well with Celestina, and we think you should consider our marriage since you need someone to support you and actually knows about this work and doesn’t just give up on you.” Olivia explained. “I know the company like the back of my hand and I can always help you with anything you need.”

Chase rolled his eyes and was about to talk when Olivia stood up and beat him. “Chase, think about the company for a minute. Doesn’t it need to be in good hands? What if you need to work late one night or maybe a few nights or maybe even you need to go out of the country? I will patiently wait for you to come home and give you all the space you need. You know that.”

Chase watched as Olivia walked closer to him until she was standing next to him, leaning on the desk. Chase sighed and looked over at Samantha and Celestina who were staring at him. He stood up, taking his blazer off and set it on the table next to the bookshelf.

“Give us a moment.” He looked at Samantha, who nodded and stood up, pulling Celestina with her as she walked out the office, closing the door behind them.

“Olivia, what do you really want?” Chase looked down at her and she smiled.

“Chase, what makes you think I want something other than you?” She asked. Chase glared at her and she smiled wider. “Alright, does you money, building and a nice, big house count?” She asked.

“So you honestly don’t care about me? Since, we were going to get married at one point.” Chase crossed his arms over his shoulders.

“How can you say that I don’t care about you?” Olivia asked, stepping closer. “I’m in love with you, and I will have you and this building and your money.”
