Chase shuffled through his paperwork, he checked the few things he needed for the meeting before his phone rang and he pressed the loud speaker. "Simmons." He answered.

"Mr. Simmons, there is a Madeline Hender down her asking for you, do I send her up?"

"I'll send my secretary for her." Chase spoke and hung up. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed heavily before looking at his office phone and dialed a number, pressing the speaker button and heard it ring. He quickly sent a message to his secretary and continued to wait. After a few more tries, they finally answered.

"Simmons."

"Alexander, did you borrow 15 million from us two years ago?" Chase asked.

"Yeah, mom said to grab them." Chase's secretary opened the door and Maddie stepped in, sitting on the chair across his office and Chase went back to looking at the papers.

"Well mom doesn't own the company anymore, I do, and you ask me first. I need them now." Chase snapped, running his hand through his hair again and Maddie leaned back, setting the paper bag on the chair next to her and pulling her sunglasses off.

"I can't give them to you right now, I still have to file taxes before I pay you back." Chase groaned and leaned back on his chair. "Give dad a call, he'll lend them to you." Alexander commented.

"You think I'm going to call dad? He's going to tell mom and she's going to be on my ass about this." Chase snapped.

"Not my fault." Alexander shrugged and hung up.

"Alexander! Fuck." Chase stood up and walked out of his office and Maddie watched as he walked into Ryland's office, talking quietly with him. Ryland nodded and Chase walked back.

"Sorry about that." Chase closed his office door and pulled his black suit jacket off, hanging it on the back of his chair.

"Don't worry about it." Maddie waved her hand, dismissing it.

"Did you buy food?" Chase asked, looking at the paper bag.

"Yeah, Thai food. It's still hot." Maddie picked up the bag and set it on the desk, Chase setting the papers aside and taking his wallet out.

"How much was it?" Chase asked.

"I had to pay for it so deal with it." Maddie snapped at him and took out her white box of food. "I got us both the same thing." She said, grabbing a plastic fork and eating her food.

"Which is?" Chase asked, grabbing his white box.

"Pad Thai Won Sen." Maddie said, taking another forkful.

The two ate, Chase looking at Maddie as she looked out the window. She had on a light pink knitted sweater, a pair of jeans and her white Vans. Maddie looked at Chase and stopped eating. "What?" She asked. Chase shook his head and she went back to eating.

They both looked at the door as a knock sounded and Chase's secretary stepped in. She looked at Maddie and glared before looking at Chase. "Mr. Simmons, the 15 million is with us now so the paperwork should be sorted now. I can do it while you eat." Chase shook his head and swallowed his food.

"No, I'm good, thank you. If I need you to do anything for me I'll let you know." The woman nodded and looked back at Maddie, who was looking at her food and chewing. "Melissa," Chase spoke up and she looked at him. "You can leave, thank you." She nodded and walked back out, closing the door behind her.

"Love affair with her?" Maddie asked.

"Like I would cheat on you with someone so plain." Chase chuckled.

"We're not dating." Maddie snapped and Chase smiled, looking at her.

"Of course." He shrugged, Maddie scoffing and leaning back in her chair and eating.

Chase's phone rang and he answered. "Simmons."

"You took the money?" Alexander yelled and Chase hung up.

"So rude." Maddie commented and Chase smiled as he answered his phone again.

"Simmons."

"Hang up on me and I'm telling mom what you did!" Alexander yelled. Chase looked at Maddie who looked at the phone like it grew arms.

"Care to say something?" Chase asked her.

"He sounds like a four year old and you stole his toy." Maddie commented.

"Who is that?" Alexander snapped and Chase hung up.

"Sorry, that's my brother. He's not the nicest in the family." Chase answered.

"Is he the youngest?" Maddie asked.

"No, the eldest, then me and our little brother Mathew, he's the one you don't want near your glass." Chase chuckled. Maddie nodded and went back to eating.

"They have to get that angry characteristic from some parent." Maddie said, dumping her now empty box into the paper bag.

"My mother, I get mine from my dad." Chase winked at her and she rolled her eyes.

"I bet your dad isn't as persistent as you." Maddie commented, sitting back on the chair.

"No, he's worse." Chase laughed and Maddie groaned.

"Why don't you go and hang out with Ryland or Esmeralda? I have work and I would like to invite you to my house for dinner." Maddie stood up and yawned.

"We already had lunch. Let's save dinner for another night, I have class tonight anyway." Maddie said looking at the clock.

"What time?" Chase asked.

"At six." Maddie pushed the chair back in a bit and Chase stood up.

"Go have a talk with Esmeralda and I'll drop you off at school." Maddie watched as Chase tossed the garbage in the bin and he looked up at her. She looked away and nodded, walking out.

Chase sighed and looked at the clock. He stood up, putting his things away and grabbing his briefcase and walked out of his office. He passed his secretaries office, watching as she packed her things.

"Good night, Melissa." She looked up at him and smiled, waving as he walked to see Esmeralda talking with Ryland.

"Hey guys, still working?" He asked.

"No, we both finished." Esmeralda smiled, Ryland agreeing.

"Where's Maddie?" He asked. Esmeralda raised an eyebrow and Ryland stared at him.

"Did she come over?" He asked, Chase blinked before calling her and after a few rings she answered.

"What? Class is about to start." She snapped.

"Did you leave?" Chase asked.

"I didn't want to bother them while working. The teacher is here, bye." Chase pulled the phone back to see that Maddie hung up and he rolled his eyes.

"Women are so difficult." He mumbled, walking to the elevators.

Alexander sat on his desk, his door opened and his wife walked in. "What's wrong, honey?" She asked, walking to him and sitting on his lap.

"Chase took 15 million from my company." He groaned, rubbing his face.

"Can he do that?" She asked, suddenly concerned.

"Technically, no. But he probably told dad and he gave him the right to do it."

"But why?" She asked.

"I took them from his two years ago and I asked mom and not him." He pulled his wife closer and looked up at her. "I think we should get back at him, don't you think so Celestina?" She looked down at him and grinned.
