"Mrs. Simmons? Is right now a bad time?" Maddie looked up from her laptop at the young girl who stood outside her office, rubbing her arm and shyly looking down.

"No, of course not, come in." Maddie shut her laptop and smiled as the girl came in and closed the glass door behind her, taking a seat on the chair Maddie had. "What's up? Need a break from class?" Maddie smiled, the girl cracking a small smile and shaking her head.

"I need advice..." Maddie nodded and stayed quiet, letting the girl gather her thoughts as she shifted.

She reminded Maddie of herself, making her smile. She wore beat up old sneakers with tight black jeans and a baggy sweater, her earbuds peeking under the collar of her sweater, showing signs that she attempted to hide them. Her hair was dark and had blonde colored highlights, the whole thing was pulled up into a high ponytail, her bangs the only thing lose and framing her forehead and face.

"You see... I have a friend and she's dating this guy... but it's in secret," She started, her eyes low and looking around the room. Maddie took in a breath and nodded, crossing her arms on the desk and let her continue.

"She didn't like him at first but when she got to know him, they began hanging out but because they're so different, they have to hide it from everyone... I was wondering if I can get advice for her to break up with him?"

Maddie stared at a spot on her desk and nodded, biting the corner of her bottom lip before sighing and sitting back, looking at the girl. "Does your friend really like him?" The girl nodded and pushed a strand of fringe back.

"Well... there is a theory of opposites attracting," Maddie rubbed her bottom lip with her finger, the girl furrowing her eyebrows and looking up at Maddie, shaking her head.

"That doesn't exist, all couples are alike in one way or another, they can't be total opposites."

Maddie smiled, thinking of her husband and about to talk when her office phone rang and she excused herself, answering. "Hello?"

"Mrs. Simmons? You're husband is here saying her brought you lunch, he's heading over." The security guard spoke, Maddie thanking him and hanging up, smiling at his perfect timing.

"I have to disagree, I think it's rather true," Maddie sat back in her chair, seeing the girl roll her eyes and shake her head.

"Mrs. Simmons, you and your husband are alike! You have to know it isn't true! He's so much like you in the interviews he's in." She argued and Maddie couldn't help but laugh, a knock on her door as she looked up and her husband waved, pointing to a white bag with a red logo on it and a cup with what she assumed was soda.

Maddie waved her hand and Chase came in, shutting the door gently behind him and walked over, smiling at the girl and setting the bag down. "Sorry, I came to drop off your food, I'll head out."

"No, stay actually." Maddie looked up at Chase and he gave her a confused look before pulling the other chair aside and sitting. "She has a friend who's dating a boy who's very different from her, so they're hiding their relationship, but she needs advice on breaking up with him because even though she likes him a lot, they're too different."

Chase raised an eyebrow and looked at the girl. "But opposites attract, you know that, right?"

"I don't believe in that," The girl shook her head. "I believe that all couples are alike, like you and your wife.

Chase stared at her before laughing and Maddie smiled, shaking her head. "I'm so sorry for laughing, but my wife and I are no alike at all."

The girl stared at Chase, then over at Maddie who looking into the bag and took out a carton of fries, handing them to the girl and taking out the other, offering some to her husband who denied it. "He cannot stand fast food like this, too greasy for him." Maddie rolled her eyes, eating four fries at a time."
