9: Tubbo's House

HOLY CRAP YOU GUYS. I TAKE A BREAK FOR A WEEK AND I COME BACK TO 1K READS AND 100 VOTES??? THAT'S INSANE TYSM <3

anyways, I'm so sorry this chapter took forever but it's been a crazy busy week for me. So here's an extra long chapter to make up for it, I hope you guys enjoy :)

Tubbo brought Ranboo inside his house and immediately led him to his room. A small bed with yellow covers was pushed into a corner next to a nightstand, and a desk with a PC was on the other side of the room. A TV was against a wall opposite the bed. The walls were covered in pictures of Tubbo and his friends, and lots of drawings that Ranboo assumed were done by Tubbo.

"Both my parents are working late, and my sister has theater class after school. So we basically have the house to ourselves," Tubbo said, sitting down on his bed.

Ranboo nodded, secretly relieved. He felt nervous meeting a lot of new people at once.

"So," Ranboo said, "Where should we start on the project?" After a few minutes of discussion, they decided to go with Hyacinth. Tubbo booted up his PC and motioned for Ranboo to come over.

"Do you want to start researching or do you want to do the drawing bits?" Tubbo asked the taller boy.

"I can do researching, you're better at drawing," Ranboo said. Tubbo's cheeks went pink at the compliment, and he nodded.

Tubbo got up and Ranboo sat down at his PC. He started researching topics that went along with their project, while Tubbo started drawing on the poster board.

They chatted about random subjects, everything from bugs to music to space.

After a few hours, Ranboo had a few paragraphs written down. He around in his chair and saw Tubbo had just finished his drawing.

"Can I see it?" the tall boy asked. Tubbo nodded and held it up.

A drawing of Hyacinth wrapped in vines covered in his namesake flower took up half the poster. More vines, flowers, and leaves were drawn around the edges.

"Tubbo... that looks amazing," Ranboo said in awe. The shorter boy blushed.

"Thanks, bossman," Tubbo said, carefully folding the poster and putting it in his backpack. He walked over to Ranboo, peering over his shoulder at the google doc.

"Wow, you got a lot done," Tubbo said, resting his head on Ranboo's shoulder.

"Thanks. I'm just gonna finish this paragraph and then I should probably head home," Ranboo said. He was a bit sad he had to go, but Tubbo probably didn't want to hang out with him besides doing schoolwork.

"Nooooo stay over," Tubbo said into Ranboo's shoulder.

"Wait really?" Ranboo said, turning his head to look at Tubbo.

"Yeah, I mean if you want," Tubbo mumbled. Ranboo nodded and smiled.

"Let me text my parents," Ranboo said, pulling out his phone. After sending his parents a quick text, Ranboo shut off the PC.

"So, wanna watch a movie?" Tubbo asked, sitting on his bed. Ranboo nodded and sat down next to him.

The bed was fairly small, so Ranboo was half off the edge because he didn't want to invade Tubbo's personal space. Even though Ranboo secretly loved cuddling, he didn't want to make his first friend in a while become uncomfortable.

Tubbo had picked the movie IT. Ranboo didn't really like horror movies because of the jumpscares, but he would watch it for Tubbo.

"Bossman, you're practically falling off the bed, come here," Tubbo said, tugging on Ranboo's arm. Ranboo moved over closer to Tubbo.

"Besides, I need a big strong man like you to protect me from this scary fucker," Tubbo joked. Ranboo blushed and laughed.

"More like the other way around," Ranboo said, poking Tubbo.

The two fell into a comfortable silence while watching the movie. It was fine until the first jumpscare.

Ranboo flinched, accidentally grabbing Tubbo's arm. Tubbo looked at him in concern and paused the movie.

"You ok Boo?" Tubbo asked. Ranboo nodded.

"Yeah I'm fine, I promise," he said. Tubbo put his arm around the taller boy and resumed the movie.

It wasn't until a few minutes later that Ranboo realized the nickname Tubbo had called him, and he smiled.

Soon enough, there was another jumpscare, and Ranboo buried his face in Tubbo's shoulder.

"Aww, I thought you were supposed to be protecting me," Tubbo laughed. Ranboo rested his head on Tubbo's shoulder.

"I know, I'm a big baby," Ranboo groaned. Tubbo laughed and pulled Ranboo closer, the brunette putting his head on top of Ranboo's. 

Ranboo smiled. He was so glad he had met Tubbo.
