Liam looked at Zayn who was frowning down at a book, a closed book
He looked at Louis, who also seemed out of his head then turned to Zayn
"Are you ok?"
Zayn looked at Liam then at Louis then at Liam before he nodded
Liam looked at Harry who was also frowning at Louis
"Zee-"
Zayn quickly stood up "Uh, I have to get to class"
Liam's eyes widened "There's still 10 minutes-"
"Coat, I need a chemistry coat, not all of them fit me" He said, picking his bag up and left
Liam looked at Louis "You?"
Louis' eyes widened "COMING ZAYN" He said then ran out after him
Liam blinked "What-"
Dylan sighed and rested their head on the table as Niall patted their back
"I'm sure it's fine"
Liam gave Niall a look then got up "Take my bag for me?"
Harry nodded "I will"
Liam jogged out and rushed towards the chemistry lab
Where Zayn was seated with Louis standing in front of him, in front of Louis stood Markus
Liam pushed the door open and looked at Zayn "You don't have chemistry today"
Zayn forced a smile but nodded, a while of coming in after the teacher, Zayn went to the administration and asked them to move him to the other chemistry group
He's still in advanced chemistry it's just that now he doesn't know anyone... And he didn't think Liam would remember as they only talked about it once
Liam extended a hand and Louis stepped out of the way, Zayn walked towards Liam and joined their hands
Liam looked at Zayn "Does Lou know?" Zayn only nodded in response, Liam then looked at Louis "Tell the sack of shit to stay away, I don't take people harassing my best friend too well" He said then walked away with Zayn
They walked out the main doors of the school and walked towards Zayn's car, they both got into the backseat and Liam looked at Zayn
"What's wrong?"
Zayn looked at his hands "I'm worried..."
Liam's shoulders fell "Can I hold your hand, Zee?"
Zayn looked at Liam quickly and nodded, Liam took Zayn's hand and pressed a kiss onto Zayn's knuckle
"What are you worried about?" He said, massaging Zayn's wrist
Zayn sighed "Matt"
Liam furrowed his brows "My project partner?"
Zayn looked at him "Turned friend..."
Liam frowned "What... About him?"
Zayn hesitated and pulled his hand away "Let me explain, ok?" Liam nodded
"The way how Louis found out about what happened between Markus and I is from hearing Timmy and Markus talk about it" Liam nodded, Zayn leaned back while rubbing his face "He then heard them mention Matt's name, how he'll help them with whatever agenda they have"
Liam furrowed his brows "Are you sure they mean my project partner Matt?" Zayn shrugged "What else did Louis tell you, Zee?"
Zayn bounced his feet "Matt has history..."
"I don't like false information..."
Zayn looked at Liam "What if I told you we asked Niall's mum and she confirmed?"
Liam froze then looked at Zayn "What did he do?"
"Hurt another student"
"How bad?"
"They are paralysed from the waist down"
Liam's eyes widened "How is he still free then?"
"His previous school suddenly lost all proof when his father came to claim it"
Liam stayed quiet then met Zayn's eyes "Maybe... He didn't do it?" When Zayn shook his head and turned to look away
"He's an absolute softie, believe me!!"
Zayn looked at Liam again "I do, I always will, but it's him that's worrying me Liam"
Zayn frowned and looked out the window again "I don't want you to get hurt..."
"I won't..."
Zayn shook his head and Liam sighed
"Zee" Liam mumbled and took a hold of both of Zayn's hands, he seemed to instantly relax and looked at Liam again
"I will be just fine" He said with a smile, he then pulled one of his hands away and ruffled Zayn's hair, making him smile
"And if I'm not, you'll be there to tell me that you told me so"
Zayn's smile fell "What if... I'm not here?"
Liam furrowed his brows "What do you mean?"
Zayn quickly shook his head and opened the car door before he got out
He helped Liam, who was still frowning, out before he hugged him and kissed his temple
"I'll tell you when the time comes"

Zayn was asleep when he heard loud noises from outside of his home
He then saw his bedroom door open and when he turned towards it
He frowned seeing Liam, he turned on his bedside light but Liam didn't move
"What's wrong?"
Liam opened and closed his mouth then finally met Zayn's eyes "Bucky... Mum and dad are taking him to the vet, they recommended that I don't go..."
