2.8 Hold you close

Zayn had just finished his checkup about his reflexes to make sure everything is ok, but the whole time he didn't let liam go

He made sure Liam stayed comfortably on his lap, no matter what the doctor said liam wouldn't move except if Liam wanted to move

And liam didn't want to, he stayed on zayns lap with his eyes closed, holding onto the man like he'll disappear again

He wasn't ready to let Zayn go, and he was sure he'll never be

Zayn kissed liams temple "You alright?" Zayn whispered

Liam looked at zayn and shrugged. He buried his face into Zayns neck again

The door opened but liam didn't care, He could hear the voices filling the room. He could feel Zayns arm tighten around him and he let out a breath

"-We are all just glad you're ok Zayn..."

Zayn smiled, he rubbed his thumb on Liams hip "Glad to be awake..."

"Liam" Liam slowly looked at his mum and nodded "Let him breath-"

"No! It's ok. I want him close by..." Zayn said pulling liam closer to him

"Zayn-"

"Please... I'm more comfortable this way"

"ZAYN!"

Zayn looked towards the door and smiled when he saw Louis

"YOU LITTLE SHIT! FUCKING SHIT. LOOK WHAT YOU DID?! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SMOKED BECAUSE OF YOU!"

Zayn laughed and Louis smiled, he walked deeper into the room and ruffled zayns hair

"We missed ya... Some of us more than others- but we all missed ya! No more going on runs alone for you!"

Zayn smiled and shrugged "Thanks Louis"

Zayn walked into his parents house and looked around then smiled "Nothing changed"

"You weren't here Zayn, a lot changed"

"like what?"

"Like for example... Your report card came in"

Zayns nodded "What else?"

"Your sister is now lifting her head up on her own, Liam would come every other day. We no longer have paint all over the walls, and... Liam almost killed someone for you"

Zayn chuckled "I heard. Louis told me..." Zayn turned towards his dad "Where is she?"

"Her room"

Zayn ran up the stairs and opened the door, he smiled when he saw his mama and she smiled when she saw him

He walked over to her and hugged her tightly and she immediately hugged him back

"Your baba said he had a surprise for me. If I knew it was you coming home I would've went to the hospital with him"

Zayn chuckled "I asked him to keep it a surprise. I didn't want you coming back to the hospital, I wanted you to stay here with Aisha"

"Want to see her? She wasn't allowed in the hospital because its flu season..."

Zayn frantically nodded, his mama laughed and they walked towards Aishas room

She nodded for zayn to walk deeper into the room, he walked in and picked her up carefully

"He was right mama... She grew so much"

"Yes. She has... It's been a month, last time she saw you she couldn't raise her head, now she's laying on her stomach and raising her head and throwing her toys around"

Zayn laughed "I want to see that"

Liam was sitting on his bed with bucky on his lap, his door opened and he looked up and smiled when he saw his mum

"Feeling ok?"

"You're asking the wrong person mumma..."

"Yeah, but I think enough people asked him if he's ok, all the doctors, the nurses, family members, friends... I think it's time someone asked you"

Liam shrugged "I'm ok... Tired but ok"

"Ok enough for me to spend some time with you"

Liam sat up and frantically nodded when he saw Zayn

Zayn smiled and walked towards liam, he sat down on the floor beside the bed after Liam's mum closed the door

"Zayn the bed is big-"

"I think I spent enough time on a bed Pup."

Liam cringed and nodded "Yeah..."

Zayn looked at Liam "It scared me that day, seeing you like that, I didn't know how to calm you down, if you wanted me to touch you or not, If there was anything I could do"

Liam smiled weakly "Yet you still did the best thing anyone could do"

Zayn sighed "I don't blame you" liam looked at zayn "Mama told me that you blame yourself... But I don't blame you, and I don't want you to blame you"

Liam shrugged weakly "Still... Maybe if I was there for you-"

"Not a word. I always told you to believed in yourself and I'm glad that you did. I'm proud of you Li"

Liam got off of the bed and sat down beside Zayn. Zayn pulled liam on his lap and held onto him tightly

"I'm glad your here Zayn... I missed you so fucking much" Liam whispered

Zayn smiled, he put a hand on Liams cheek and lifted liams face up and kissed him

Liam smiled kissing him back

"I missed you too"

"So... Zayn was in a coma for a month... And he just woke up, he saw liam having a breakdown... And the first thing he does is hold and make sure Liam is calm-"

"He also KISSES the said person and proceeds to hold him for the rest of the day-"

"No matter what people said. And only let the puppy go because he was forced to because he needed to walk- and even then he kept a tight hold on Liams hand"

They all nodded and Niall drank some of his beer

"Yep, Definitely Healthy Zayn"
