Maybe It'll turn out okay. || A Omori Suntan after story kinda fanfic

Chapter two: A friend and I.

 Kel embraced Sunny in a hug. "You look like you need a hug. It's gonna be okay, man. Things happen. And it may not get better for a while but I'll be right here by your side...For as long as you need it"

"that may be a while." Sunny laughed to himself

"I'm willing to be here that long."

Sunny stood there for a moment. Trying to process the words that came out of the other boy's mouth...Kel? Did he want to be there for him? After everything? "Kel I-" But before he was able to finish what he was saying Kel spoke up "Sunny. I know how bad all of this makes you feel. But I'm right here." Kel just held onto Sunny as tight as he could. Although it wasn't long till Sunny started unwinding his overflowing pool of emotions. Letting it all out in the form of tears on Kel's tank top. The raven-haired boy just clung onto the brown-haired boy, crying. After a while, Kel scooped the boy up and sat him onto his couch. "Hold tight a moment Sunny. I'm gonna get you some tissues and blankets." Kel stated before going up the stairs and into Sunny's room. He scooped up all the blankets and pillows he could before heading back down the stairs. Although, something felt like it was stopping Kel. The brown-haired boy stopped at the piano room that Sunny and Mari used to practice in. He muttered a small "Hi Mari." to himself before silently making his way back down to Sunny. 

Once he was back with Sunny, Kel started propping Sunny up with pillows and getting him comfy in blankets. "Comfy?" Kel asked. Sunny took a moment to think before nodding and muttering a small "Yes." Once Kel knew he was comfy though, he latched onto the boy again. "Feel free to talk to me, alright Sunny?" Kel was serious, he would listen to Sunny's voice any day, after all, when the boys were younger Kel found himself in love with the raven-haired boy. Only when Kel started hanging out with Sunny again did it start resurfacing. "...Alright. Thank you Kel," Sunny said after a while, his eyes were puffy and his face red from crying. He had so much he wanted to say to Kel. So much about Aubrey. So much about...everything. But all he could get out to continue his statement was, "I'm sorry Kel." 

"Sorry? What are you sorry about Sunny?" Kel asked, for a moment he was so blinded with love for the boy that he forgot about what he had done. He had forgotten about Mari...

"I'm sorry about everything Kel...I killed her Kel. That's all my fault. It's my fault you had to come over here and make sure I was okay. So. I'm sorry." Sunny couldn't help but let out a string of apologies. He felt as this were all his fault. "Sunny...I understand why you think it was your fault...But. It wasn't, you're not fully to blame. You've gotten so much better too." Kel said, rubbing Sunny's head and trying to calm the boy down. Sunny couldn't help but cry once again.  All Kel did was comfort the boy. It kept on like that in silence for quite a while.  And after he had calmed down, Sunny had broken the quiet moment by saying "I saw you brought a movie...would you wanna watch it Kel?" 

The taller boy, Kel, Sprung up and grabbed the movie. A copy of Sunny's favorite movie. "Yeah! Of course, I wanna watch it that's what I brought it for!" Kel smiled and held the DVD copy of Nightmare before Christmas up "I brought your favorite!" He added. Sunny looked at Kel then the movie as Kel slid the movie into the DVD player. "Kel...Thank you so much." Sunny smiled and watched as Kel sat down close by him, wrapping an arm around him. "No problem Sunny!" Kel said as the movie started

[AYO TIME SKIP TO AFTER THE MOVIE BC WHY NOT]

The movie finished up, Kel is comfortably laid on the couch with an asleep Sunny in his arms. Sunny had fallen asleep during the movie and Sunny's mom had said that Kel could move him to his room if he wanted. But of course, Kel chooses not to, so instead he picked up Sunny and lets him sleep.  And if Sunny asked why, the taller boy would of course make up something about falling asleep too or just not wanting to wake the slightly taller boy up. Either way, Kel was content. He quietly muttered a goodnight to the asleep boy and fell asleep himself.

The night may not have been all happy and perfect as Kel wanted to go, but it went well enough for when Kel fell asleep, for him to fall asleep with the widest smile on his face. The golden retriever boy was happy. This was what he wanted. But he'd have to wait to even see if he'd get the other boy. Parts of his brain hoped he would but only time can tell and for now, it's just a friend and him.
