Chapter 3: Awareness.

The sun rises on a cool autumn morning, the sun's sudden rays beam through the window of Sunny's house hitting the eyes of the two boys who were just awaking from their peaceful slumber. Sunny was the first to wake up, sleepy at first but trying to evaluate the situation. He was waking up...and in Kels arms at that. His face went red 'I shouldn't be thinking like this. I still like Aubrey, don't I?' Sunny pondered that before the still asleep boy wrapped his arms back around Sunny, after doing that Kel's eyes opened. He also took a moment to think about what was going on before letting go of Sunny. "O-Oh! I'm really sorry Sunny, just habit I guess??" Kel awkwardly laughed to himself before scooting away from the raven-haired boy. 

"Oh no, it's uhh...It's okay Kel. It was warm." Sunny replied, almost as awkward as the Brown-haired boy next to him. It was quiet for just a moment before Sunny's mom leaned into the room "Are you two hungry? I'm making pancakes and bacon if you two want any!" She giggled a bit at the two flustered boys. "Y-Yeah! Breakfast sounds good mom." Sunny smiled at her before he stood up and looked at Kel "Breakfast?" Kel looked at Sunny just a second too long before replying "Yeah Sunny! Thank you, Ms. Sunny's mom!" Kel giggled a bit and stood up making his way to the kitchen with Sunny. Sunny's mother smiled "No problem kiddo!" She set the plates down and let the boys start eating, while they ate Sunny's mom left for work. 

The boys sat down and ate, once they were done Sunny took their plates and started doing the dishes. Kel on the other hand went behind the Raven-haired boy and hugged him "Need any help?" He asked. Sunny froze up at the other boy's touch "No I don't think so...thank you though!" Sunny went a bit red before smiling. 'I shouldn't be feeling this for Kel. I need to move on from Aubrey but not this fast...or with a guy at that' Sunny just thought about that over and over again till it's all his head was filled with. "Oh alright! Tell me if you need anything though, maybe we can do something in a bit? Or I can start headed home!" Kel asked, Sunny had stopped a moment before almost shouting  "No don't go!! I mean...you can if you want but it would be fun hanging out a bit longer." 

"Oh! Alright, maybe we can take a walk or go to the park...maybe go to the lake spot?" Kel started pondering all the areas they could have a good day in, truthfully he's just happy to spend that time with the boy who was still embraced in his arms. "Maybe we can go to the lake and just...talk a bit? That'd be nice." Sunny said right before adding "...maybe we can have a picnic like old times too??" Saying that almost made Sunny cry, but he really needed something like that now of all times. "...Yeah. That would really be nice Sunny! If you'd like I can run to the store and get some things while you do a little cleaning! Then we can make lunch together." Kel just grinned at Sunny before he nodded in agreement "Yeah! That would be really really nice!" Sunny added. And after a bit, Kel was off to the store, and Sunny was left with his thoughts. 

Sunny got to cleaning the kitchen and gathering Mari's old picnic things. He did his absolute best not to start crying while doing so. Once it was gathered and out of the way he turned on some music and got back to cleaning and of course thinking. What did he feel about Kel? the thought lingered in his mind for a moment before thinking about Kel and Aubrey. Aubrey and Kel have always had their similarity. Sunny would never admit he used to be really jealous of the relationship Kel and Aubrey had. The way Kel and Aubrey argued playfully and the way she just generally treated the brown-haired boy. Sometimes he wished he could be that close to Kel too...wait no. Aubrey. But he does wanna be that close to Kel...Shit


Maybe he does have feelings for Kel...
