{ANDDDD WE'RE BACK, :D thank you all so much for 1k views!!}
{As well as that, there is a small TW for violence in the first paragraph of this chapter, so I'll inform you all on when it should be over! Other than that, enjoy!!}
The girl slammed him against the lockers. Her pale skin heating up as the sight of the raven-haired boy just got her more and more worked up. She muttered a few insults at Sunny, saying something about his sister and him being a worthless waste of oxygen. Yet Sunny didn't hear it, all his head was telling him was to try and get away, but when he tried she full force punched him. So he gave up and just took it. Punch after punch until it felt as it went black after a pink blur came and punched the girl.
{Violence is over!}
After it went black, Sunny woke up, staring at the ceiling of the clean nurse's office. Aubrey sat by his legs, holding an ice pack to her eye. "Oh hey. You're up." Aubrey looked at Sunny and started talking again, "It's been a while, sorry that Bitc-" She was stopped by the nurse who yelled something about language than the pink-haired girl continued what she had been saying. "Sorry that person started hurting ya, Sunny. Who knows what she was thinking, kids like that should really calm down." Aubrey sighed as Sunny sat up and nodded a bit. "Gosh, I feel light-headed-" the young man sighed and looked in a mirror. He was covered in bruises, and it seems as he had a bl00dy nose. It wasn't long till the principal walked in, "Aubrey. We've looked at the camera footage. You're free to go, thank you for protecting a student'. The student has been suspended, and the situation has been talked about with all of your legal caregivers." She said as Aubrey left the office with a small wave to Sunny.
He was glad to see Aubrey, yet given the situation, they could've started talking again under better circumstances. But the principle looked at the raven-haired boy and continued, "Sunny, your mom will be here to pick you up in a bit, We've notified Kel about it as it seems that he should know regarding how the girl reacted to whatever is going on between you two." Sunny just quietly nodded and rested against the wall. It's just the day after something that felt so nice, and yet people have already taken their rude thoughts and taken it out on him. He just can't wait to go home.The ride home was peaceful, Sunny's mom just talked to him about what he should do if anything like that were to ever happen again. "Next time, Sunny, just straight up yell. Get people's attention, okay? And I forgot to mention. Hero's in town again, so we're having their family over so their mom and I can talk about how we should take care of this situation with the school and discuss how we can make it safer for kids like you and Kel. I still can't believe that even happened." Sunny's mom just groaned. Absolutely angry about the whole situation and how someone would ever do that to her son. Other than the mothers anger and Sunny's fear the car ride home was quiet.
Once they were home, it was time to get ready for dinner. Sunny put on a nice button up and some dress pants, then went downstairs to help with dinner. His body was hurting, and he had a black eye and plenty of bruises, yet that hadn't stopped him from at least helping his mom. Something about dinner scared him, how would Kel react? Did he look okay? The time nearing made him almost panicked, as now he set plates on the table and his mom set the food down, only to walk off when there was a knock at the door. Sunny walked on over and stood to the side as Kel's family walked in. It felt like there was something caught in his throat, until Kel quickly trapped him into a hug after he walked in. Suddenly, Sunny's shoulder felt wet...was Kel crying?
After a moment of the brown-haired boy crying and holding onto Sunny, he picked up his head and brought a hand up to cup the raven's face. "Oh Sunny..." Kel exclaimed as he carefully kissed some bruises on the other boy's face. The two boys melted in each other's arms. It had only been a day. And that day outlined their whole future. It just showed them how messed up the world could be, yet they knew that couldn't change them being together and being happy together.
Dinner was calm. The adults talked about what they felt like they should do about the situation, and Hero chimed in every once in a while. Other than that, Hero just watched Kel and Sunny cling onto each other in a hopeful way. To them, it was a moment of thinking, nothing and no one can change us and how happy we are with each other. Hero talked to Kel and Sunny, just happy to see them on his first day back home in a while. Though, once everyone was finished, Kel and Sunny clung to each other while Kel hummed a small tune into Sunny's ear. The boys were anxious about what was to come, but yet content with having each other.
That was all that mattered then, each other was all that mattered then.
