-Skye's POV-

I looked at Alex sleeping. 

She had woken up four hours ago and started to scream and cry. She wasn't her usual sarcastic and crazy self, she was a girl with a bad past who was left an empty shell. 

The facade that she puts on is all just an act, she's a scarred little girl and I want to find out who broke her and caused her to become like this. 

When Alex had fainted in her dorm, I had freaked out. I ran to the school infirmary, thankfully the nurse was my pack doctor's apprentice so she knew what she was doing. 

She told me that Alex's appendix was inflated and the pain and stress cause Alex to faint. She says that Alex was under a lot of stress and that her high stress level is causing havoc to her body. She said some other things but they were in doctor mumbo jumbo. 

I stared at Alex's sleeping self. She looked so peaceful and innocent. Her dark brown hair was all over her pillow, her big brown eyes were closed and her thick eyelashes were framing them. Her pink lips were in a small smile.

"Are you done checking me out?" Alex said opening her eyes and smirking at me before wincing slightly.

"Why does my side hurt like a mofo?" She asked rubbing her side comfortingly.

"You underwent some surgery to remove your appendix. The pain of your inflated appendix and stress caused you to faint." I said giving her a small smile.

"That would explain a lot." She said wincing as she tried to sit up.

I lightly pushed her back down.

"Alex, you don't want to get up, it's going to hurt more." I said lightly.

Where is this soft side coming from?! Alex is bringing out the nice side in me, I'll wreck someone's car later. 

The nurse came in and smiled at me and Alex.

"Hello, Alexandria, nice to see you're up!" The doctor, Amanda, said in her normally friendly tone.

"Hey, doc, when am I going to be able to leave?" Alex asked.

"Leaving me already?" Amanda teased.

Alex blushed slightly.

"It's not that I don't like your effort, it's just that I have a phobia of hospitals and I honestly don't know how I'm keeping it together." She said truthfully.

"I'm sorry-" Amanda started before I cut her off.

"Amanda, let me take Alex to her dorm." I said in my Alpha tone.

She sighed but gave in.

"Fine but you'll have to take this for the pain." She said handing Alex some medicine.

Alex looked at the medicine label.

"Weed?" She said with a raised eyebrow.

"Medical marijuana." Amanda corrected.

"awesome, let's get baked." Alex said dryly.

Amanda chuckled, but she didn't get nervous.

We all knew Alex wouldn't do that. 

I picked up Alex, much to her disdain and carried her to my dorm.

"I'm pretty sure my dorm is the opposite way. " Alex said smirking at me. 

"Yea, I know." I said opening my door.

A wave of terror came over her.

"Oh god, if you're planning on taking advantage of me because I'm hurt, I swear to god-" She started to say frantically before I cut her off.
