My paws pound into the earth as I run full speed. The wind ripping through my fur. I watch as Lexi dodges branches and rocks in front of me. I follow her ever move, swerving left and right instantaneously. It's almost an hour before we finally slow down.

Panting, I suck in air and release it as we come to the typical training grounds. My breathing is fierce and rough considering this is the first time I've used my muscles to to this extent for over a month.

We come to a halt as we reach the middle of the clearing. My muscles shaking and tired, I collapse to the ground in a heap.

Lexi lets out a deep wolf laugh. She is barely even phased from the run.

Closing my eyes, I rest my head on my paws and continue my rugged breathing. My muscles are so weak. It's embarrassing how bad I have gotten in a month. To be honest, I didn't realize it, but I lost a lot of weight from lack of nutrients and sunlight when I was with Manus.

I shiver in disgust at the thought of his name. He is a sick man, I'm glad we have caught him. Now it is up to Georgia's and my testaments to get him sentenced to jail time, or whatever it is they do with werewolves.

A small bark breaks me from my thoughts. Opening my eyes, I glance up to see Lexi staring at me expectantly.

I sigh, knowing that she wants me to stand so we can continue our training. I use all my efforts to push my body up from the ground. Once I find my center of gravity and sturdy myself, I give Lexi an assured look.

She smirks and jumps at me.

After using the rest of my energy, it takes us about thirty more minutes to complete the training. Obviously Lexi is way better at this than I am because she beats me in every single grappling match.

Now that she is satisfied, we head back toward the pack house with me dragging way behind. My muscles ache and burn. She really pushed me hard today. I'm thankful for it though, I need to gain more muscle. I can't prove to the Alpha that I will be a good Luna if I am weak.

After shifting behind the trees and putting our clothes back on, Lexi and I head into the pack house.

"Want me to make some protein shakes?" Lexi asks as I collapse into a chair in the kitchen.

"Sure, that sounds great."

She smiles in my direction and I rest my head on my arms and close my eyes. I can feel my body wanting to get lost in sleep. I fight it though, I've been sleeping too much lately. I need to get back on a regular schedule.

'Sophia where are you?' I hear in my head.

My body perks up immediately, as if filled with a sudden spark of energy. It's Jayden. I smile to myself.

'In the kitchen with Lexi. We just finished our work out.'

Luckily I found that I can communicate telepathically again. It's weird that my ability to do that was taken away when I was with Manus. I was so used to not using it that Jayden and I didn't test it out again until a couple of days ago. To our surprise, it worked.

I listen to the peaceful sound of Lexi shuffling around the kitchen. She gathers her ingredients and starts up the blender. The noise is loud but still soothing. I missed all of this ruckus when I was trapped in that dark room.

"Ahh!" I scream as fingers gently pinch my sides and make me jump from my seat.

I whip my head around and see Jayden laughing at my frazzled state. I frown at first, but his laughing face is just so adorable that I can't stop the smile from forming on my mouth.
