Think Again Alpha

Chapter 8

I was so tired I practically slept through Sunday. Mom managed to get a hold of Alpha Renalds, and he agreed to have me introduced to the pack this friday. I wonder how that will turn out, hopefully I will meet with the Alpha before hand so he can tell me how the whole situation works.

But gratefully it is Monday! Yeah, when have you ever heard anyone say that, right? But trust me when I say today is going to be a great day. I am officially going to initiate the first part of my plan today. And boy is it a great plan. An evil smile creeps up onto my face as I approach my closet.

I take out my shortest shorts which are white, and a tight maroon tank top. I quickly get dressed. Grabbing a sweatshirt in case I get cold I wander downstairs and look into the hallway mirror. My shiny brown hair is straightened and I have on light make up, I'm pretty impressed with how I look. Sure I look kind of slutty, but it is all part of the plan.

Grabbing my keys and backpack I leave the house and begin my normal morning journey to the school. I decide on parking in the back of the lot so that there are no more accidents with my car again. I place my sunglasses on my head, grab my backpack and head into the school. Well here goes nothing. This plan better work...

As I walk into the school I notice guys staring at me, perfect! That's exactly what I want. My mom told me that mates tend to get jealous easily, that is why this is step one to my plan. Jayden, be ready for the worst torture of your life. I smile to myself as I make my way to physics class.

Entering the room I sit down in my normal spot and wait for the rest of the class to arrive. Vince sneaks in soon after me and sits down. I see him quickly smell the air then turns to me. "Uh, Sofia, you seem... Different today..."

Grinning, I tell him, "I guess you could say I am just trying something new."

"Yeah... Sure... Well anyway could you help me out with this problem real fast, I didn't understand how to do it over the weekend." He says, taking out his note book and pencil from his back pack and placing it on the table in front of me.

"Yeah no problem, I'm here to help!" I say and look over his shoulder as he opens up his notebook. That's when I sense Jayden, and I know he has finally arrived in class. Time to step my game up. "Which problem is it that you are having trouble with?" I stand up completely and lean on Vince's back to peer over his shoulders, causing my whole front side to come in contact with his back. A low growl sounds from behind us and I jump, startled by the power in the growl.

"What's going on over here?" I shudder at the sound of his voice. Then I turn around and look at him in the eyes, giving him my best smile.

"I'm jut helping Vincey here with the homework." I exclaim then sit back down in my chair.

Frowning at me Jayden turns to look at Vince and his expression lightens, "You know you can always ask me for help Vince."

"I know but your always so busy and Sophia was here anyway so it's no problem." He says smiling, little does he know he's pissing Jayden off by the second! It's great! "Anyway since when do you care about my homework problems? Actually, it really doesn't matter, I don't care." He laughs then turns back around to do his problem.

Before Jayden goes to leave us, he looks at me real hard. Then his features change from stern to surprised, as if he has discovered something new. Shit, maybe he knows that I'm a werewolf from my scent. That would ruin the whole plan! He suddenly leaves and goes over to his lab table to sit down. Mr. Simmons comes sauntering into the room and begins attendance.

When he finishes it he finally speaks, "Okay class take out your books so we can look at the homework problems." I grab my book and flip to the page then raise my hand. "Yes Ms. Hail?"

"Could I go to the bathroom really fast?" I smile sheepishly at him, and some of the class giggles.

"I suppose but be quick please." He says, then gets back to reviewing the homework with the rest of the class.

I make a quick trip into the bathroom. I pee and then check myself to make sure I still look nice. Yup, everything looks fine to me. I walk out of the girls' bathroom and head back to the classroom. Suddenly a hand reaches out and drags me to the area underneath the stairs. Feeling the tingling sensation rise up my arm I know who it is already. He slams me against the wall, not hard enough to hurt me but enough to startle me. "What the hell was that in there?"

I look at him innocently and say, "What was what in where? Oh, do you mean me helping Vincey out? That's just me doing a favor for a friend." So my schemes really are affecting Jayden. Perfect.

"Don't call him that." He takes a deep breath trying to calm himself down, eventually he lets go of my arm. "Sofia I didn't realize you were a werewolf. Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

I look at him in utter shock, damn it... how the hell did he find that out, I'm going to have to play stupid. "...What are you talking about?"

"Sofia, you can't play dumb with me, I can clearly smell that you are a werewolf, I just can't believe I didn't notice it before." He looks down ashamed and runs a hand through his hair. Damn he is sexy when he does that. Bad Sofia, focus!

"Not like it matters anyway, you clearly showed me that you don't want me and that's enough for me. So bye Jayden, we are done here." I push off the wall and begin to walk away.

"Sofia wai-" I cut him off before he is able to finish.

"Don't even try to explain why you don't want me, I don't want to hear it. I'm done talking to you Jayden." I turn and run before the tears begin to pour down my face. Honestly what was he trying to accomplish there? So what if he didn't realize I was a werewolf. What is the difference? He won't love me either way. Well this plan was a complete bust... There's no way I can do this...

Knowing that I can't go back to class like this I make my way out to my car and freshen myself up. Since I left my backpack and things in physics class I decide that it is necessary for me to go back there. I hurry back into the building and enter the class room. Everyone is so wrapped up in their work that no one bothers to turn and look at me, well except for Jayden that is, but I ignore his stares. I walk up to the disappointed looking Mr. Simmons and say "I'm so sorry sir, I ended up getting sick and having to go to the nurse." He looks at me for a moment and lets out a breath.

"I have no reason not to believe you Ms. Hail, but please don't let it happen again." He looks back down at his work and continues to write.

"It won't sir I promise!" I walk back over to my chair and take a seat.

"So the nurse huh?" Vince says as I sit down. I flush a little realizing he caught me in my lie.

"Yeah..." I don't know what else to tell him. 'Oh yeah Vince by the way I was just crying and it's all your best friend's fault, but don't worry I'm fine!' Act like I would ever say that. He drops the subject after that, realizing that I don't want to talk about it. Thank you Vince.

The bell rings, and we all pack our things up. I make sure Jayden is definitely out of the room before I head toward the door to wait for Lexi. Knowing her she will probably kill me for not telling her where I went after the party Friday night.

"Sofie!" I hear her scream before she embraces me in a hug. "I was so worried, I realized I didn't have your phone number and I couldn't contact you all weekend, I was so scared... Wait a second." I give her a strange look as she smells the air around us. She looks at me totally surprised, "Sofie, you're a werewolf?"
