Chaos. That is the only word I can use to describe what is going on in this classroom right now!
It's war! At the front of the room there are three boys, all of them crouching behind the front desk to prevent themselves from being hit by flying objects coming from the opposite direction. Looking to the other side of the room I see two largely built boys throwing whatever they can grasp toward the front of the room. Standing against the wall is the rest of the class. All the girls are giggling at the five boys involved in the war, and the rest of the boys look intrigued by the scene going on in front of them.
Me being new and all, what else is there for me to do but awkwardly stand in the doorway? The next thing I know the war comes to a sudden stop and everyone turns to look at me. Wait me! Why are they looking at me?
I flush bright red not knowing why they are all staring. Suddenly I hear a loud cough coming from behind me and I realize that the teacher standing in the doorway. I flush again once I realize that the class wasn't staring at me, they were looking at the teacher. Embarrassed I take a step to the side and allow the teacher to walk in the classroom. Now I surely look like an idiot! Way to go Soph...
He brushes past me without glancing in my direction and looks sternly at the two boys who were throwing the random objects at the kids in the front of the room. "Jayden. Vince. Please explain to me the meaning of this."
The shorter blond haired boy speaks up first, looking the teacher directly in the eyes he says with a smirk on his face, "We were just trying to have some fun on the first day Mr. Simmons."
"Please refrain from having this form of fun inside of my classroom Vince." Turning towards everyone else and says, "All right class, everyone take a seat so I can get attendance." He pauses then looks down at the mess that was made at the front of his desk. His face turns slightly red from anger. Looking back at the two boys he says harshly, "Except for you two, get your lazy butts up here and clean up this mess before I get really angry."
Both answer simultaneously in monotoned voices, "Yes Mr. Simmons."
Before I move to sit down I take a closer glimpse at the boys. Vince isn't bad looking, he is pretty well built, but he's nothing compared to his friend. The other boy, whose name I'm assuming is Jayden, has dark brown hair that is kind of long and lightly grazes over his forehead. It has that sexy-messy just got out of bed look to it. He is slightly taller than Vince and has a much bigger build to him. His arm muscles are so nice and chiseled and his tight fitting T-shirt reveals that he has a nice set of abs as well, I would love to run my fingers over his delicious mouth-watering muscles... Stop. What was that? Why am I drooling over this guy when I know he will never even look at me, never mind acknowledge my existence! Stupid Sofia.
Snapping out of my daze I realize that almost everyone has already found a seat next to their friends and are quietly chatting. I quickly grab a seat in the back and mind my own business, but I can't seem to stop staring and thinking about Jayden. What is it about this boy that is making me so attracted to him.
Mr. Simmons eventually begins to call off names of students, as he goes down the list he eventually comes to my name "Sophia Hail?" He calls.
"Here." I respond in a shy voice.
The whole class turns to look at me, as if finally realizing they have a new student in the class with them. People start to whisper and I look down at my desk so that people cannot see the blush forming on my cheeks.
"Do we know her?"
"She must be new here."
"Damn she's kinda cute, I call dibs"
