"I'm going to do it. I'm going to wake them up."
I hear a light slap then, "Don't you dare. Let them sleep they look cute."
I slowly open my eyes and look up. I see my mom and Will looking down at me curiously. Mom frowns.
"You woke her up Will! How rude." She crosses her arms over her chest and pouts. Will sighs and throws his arm over her shoulder, pulling her into a one armed hug.
"Oh they needed to wake up anyway, dinner is ready."
Will reaches down and ruffles my hair.
"Wake him up and then get ready for dinner, it's already on the table."
Huh? Dinner? Wake who up? I'm so lost.
I look down and jump a little. Geez! I forgot Jayden came over. We fell asleep too? Huh, I wonder why I can fall asleep so easily with him?
Mom and Will head out to the kitchen, leaving me to wake Jayden. I look down at his sleeping figure. He has one arms tossed above his head on the couch cushion and the other draped around me. Why is he so attractive? I swear I could get addicted to just looking at him.
An idea sparks in my head. I peek around the corner to make sure Mom and Will are completely out of sight; they are. I wiggle out of Jayden's arm then straddle his waist. I place my hands on his chest and lean down to his ear.
"Wake up Jayden."
I hear a small groan. His eyes start to flutter open and I stare down at him happily. He smiles and brings his hand up to my cheek. He caresses my face.
"You're beautiful."
My face heats up immediately. He wakes up and that's the first thing he says to me! He sure knows how to win a girl's heart.
I smile and say, "Mornin'. Actually it's night time but we fell asleep. Mom and Will have dinner ready."
Jayden pouts and tucks a stray piece of hair behind my ear, "But I like this position." He says.
I laugh and lightly slap him on the chest, "Of course you do! Come on, I'm starved."
I stand up and look down at myself. Yup. I am not eating dinner in my underwear. I turn to Jayden with a slight blush.
"I'll be right back, you go to the table." I say and dash out of the room.
After changing into a pair of sweatpants and throwing on a bandeau under my sweatshirt I join everyone at the table. For once in my life, things feel right. I know it won't always be like this, but I'm glad that Will and Mom are accepting of our relationship.
At dinner there is a lot of laughing, at my dispense... Mom brings up so many embarrassing memories about me when I was little! I was such a klutz and Jayden loves hearing all of the stories... I wish I could shove a piece of bread in her mouth to make her stop!
After we finish eating I help pick up all the dirty dishes and wipe the table down while Jayden and my mom put the dirty stuff into the dishwasher and scrub the lasagna glass.
Mom offers to play a game of cards with us but I quickly decline. I have lost enough alone time with Jayden, I'm not about to lose anymore. Especially since I know his dad won't let this thing we have going on last that long. I need to savor as much time with him as possible.
I drag Jayden off to my room. He gives me the cutest smirk as he looks me in the eyes when I shut the door. A playful glint sparks in my eyes as I approach him.
"Didn't feel like sharing me with the family?" He asks.
I laugh and shake my head.
"Nope, you're all mine."
