"Oh. My. God!" Lexi screams and runs toward me full force, "Sophia!"

She latches onto me as I walk through her door. I stumble back a couple of steps but I'm able to steady myself. I return her bone crushing hug and I smile to myself. I missed this girl.

"Hi Lexi!" I try to say, but since I barley have any breath in me, it comes out ruffled.

"Oops." She says and slowly detaches herself.

Air rushes into my lungs as I take in huge breaths to calm down. Wow, she's stronger than I remember. Lexi looks at me and I see tears lingering in her eyes.

"You were gone for so long, are you okay? I tried to go with the group to come rescue you but they only wanted the older fighters to go."

I smile and say, "I'm fine, and don't worry about that, I'm glad they didn't let you go. I wouldn't want to put you in danger because of me."

Her face is sympathetic and I can tell she still regrets not going. I can't blame her, I would be the same way if Lexi was the one who was taken. I guess she really does care for me like a best friend.

"Why don't you come in, I can make you lunch or a snack or something."

She grabs my hand and starts to lead me toward the kitchen. I freeze in my tracks pulling her to a halt. She whips her head around to look at me.

"Um, I'm not really hungry, but do you know where Vince is? I haven't seen him in a while." Her face falls.

"Oh. He is at the pack house right now. You can probably meet up with him there. He is hanging out with the football boys." She releases my hand.

I give her a strange look. What is it about those two that makes them hate one another so much? I don't understand, siblings are suppose to have a bond. They have nothing but distaste for each other. It is so confusing.

"Lexi why don't you like Vince?" I ask.

I see anger cross her features and she looks over at the wall, avoiding my eyes. She looks pissed at the world, maybe that wasn't the best question to ask.

"Sorry, I guess it's none of my business. I mean I will stay here if you want, I just need to tell Jayden that he can go to the pack house without me." I say and motion toward the front door.

Jayden wanted to wait in the car. He figured Vince wouldn't be home and he didn't want to ruin our girl time. He is probably bored out of his mind.

I see Lexi perk up a bit and she turns to me. "Jayden is with you?"

"Yeah, he is in the car." She gives me a strange look.

"Wow, you go girl. I didn't realize you were officially a thing! Looks like our plan worked after all!" She says excitedly.

I laugh, "Yeah I guess it did."

I leave it at that because I don't want to go through all the details of us having to hide our relationship from everyone for a while. I don't know if that is something that Jayden wants everyone to know about, considering his dad is the reason we had to do it.

"Well good for you guys, it must be nice having your mate." She says in a dreamy tone. She quickly snaps out of it an turns to me, "You can go with him to the pack house... I think I will just stay here. Maybe we can go out to a movie or get ice cream and have a girls night later this week?"

I smile brightly and pull her into another bone crushing hug, "That sounds fantastic. I missed you so much Lexi."

She squeezes me back and says, "I missed you too Soph."
