alexis's pov

i woke up and for some odd reason decided i was going to got on a run. i climbed out of bed and quietly grabbed some clothes to change into. i didn't do my skincare routine because after i sweat my soul out it wouldnt matter anyway. i walked out of the bathroom grabbed my phone off the charger and my airpods from beside it. i quietly closed josh's room door behind me and headed out. it was early so i knew nobody would be up. i sent a quick text to the group chat incase anyone did wake up and went looking for me. the text read 'going out for a while be back later' i put my airpods in playing my music and headed off. when i finally stopped to take a break i walked over to a park bench and sat down. i pulled my phone out of the pocket of my leggings and read a text from jules that said 'where the hell did you go and why didn't you take me with you' i responded explaining that she wouldn't have wanted to go on a run and that she didn't need to worry. i didn't exactly know where i was so i put the location of the house into my gps and pressed start. when i got home i quietly opened and shut the door heading upstairs to take a shower before anyone saw me all sweaty and nasty. i took a shower and changed into some sweats.

TIME SKIP I WEEK

i woke up feeling like complete shit. i hadn't been sleeping well for a couple days now. i constantly had a headache and sometimes even felt nauseous. i had been going on frequent runs up until i started to feel sick. i would leave the house super early and sneak back in so i wouldnt wake anybody up. i slowly walked down the stairs my favorite blanket trailing behind me. i walked into the kitchen noticing all of the boys but none of their girlfriends.

"wow this is weird i dont think ive seen you guys without your girlfriends for the past 2 weeks" i said making it sound like a joke even though it was true

"yeah well breakfast time is the only time we get without the girls" bryce responded

"lex are you okay you look terrible and not in a 'i just woke up' kinda way" kio said

"no i feel terrible" was all i said back before sitting next to josh at the only empty spot at the table. "can i get a bite" i said looking up from josh's fruity pebbles. he pushed the bowl over to me. i filled the spoon up as much as i could and stuck the spoon in my mouth. nothing. no taste just crunch. after finishing off the mouthful of cereal i stood up rushing over to the pantry. i pulled out a pack of oreos that had been bought on the last grocery run.

"lex what the hell are you doing" bryce asked as i took an eager bite of the oreo i had pulled out of one of the rows. once again nothing. i walked over to bryce picking up his cup of coffee. i tried to smell it nothing. i dropped it back down on the counter. immediatly i bolted up the stairs taking them two at a time.

"ALEXIS" josh called after me trying to catch up. once i reached josh's bathroom i grabbed one of my candles that i had lit a few days ago. i put my nose as close as i could and took a big whiff. not a thing. once josh finally reached the bathroom bryce coming in a few steps after him i was standing there candle in my hand with a look of disbelief on my face.

"what the hell is going on with you" bryce said

"i have covid" were the only words i could get out at that moment. no 'somethings wrong' not even a 'sorry' just three simple words that had a big meaning "i have covid"
