"Ethan! What did you do?" I gasped, Ethan just giggled his cute little two-year-old giggle. "ERIC GET DOWN HERE!" I heard thumping down the stairs as Eric came running into the living room. "Look what Ethan did," I say, pointing to the wall. Eric covers his mouth trying not to laugh. I scowled at him, "why are you laughing?"
"He's just copying you, Love." I raise an eyebrow.
"How." Eric gestures to the wall,
"You draw on the walls all the time."
"Yeah, in my art room and I don't 'draw on the walls'. I sketch designs and then paint them. This," I say pointing to the red marker all over the bottom of the wall. "Is the living room wall." Eric shrugs,
"You know you wanted to decorate this wall anyway, just do something that includes our son's drawing." My temper dampens when I hear him say "our son." I sigh,
"Fine, but you get to look after him for the rest of the weekend."
"But it's only Friday afternoon!" He exclaims, I smirk.
"Yup, have fun! Go visit Casey, Dan, and their kids if you want." Then I turned around and made my way to my art room.

Just as I finished putting away the ink I felt warm arms wrap around me. I lean into the familiar sparks. "Do you like mine and Ethan's artwork?" I asked,
"Very much, you know I love you right?" I turned around,
"What did you do," I demanded, he looked at me.
"I didn't do anything, I just wanted to say I love you." I raised an eyebrow,
"Really?" He grinned,
"Yup." He said, pecking my lips. "You did a wonderful job with this drawing though." I smiled turning back to it.
"You think?"
"Yup, I'm going to go make dinner alright?" I turned around suspiciously.
"Okay..." He grins at me as he disappears into the kitchen.
"Mummy!" Ethan yells running over to me. "Guess what--Woah! Did you do that!?" I smiled,
"Yup! So did you, you drew by the neck!" He walks over to it,
"Really?!" He asks excitedly.
"Yup! Anyway, what were you going to tell me?" He's silent for a second.
"Oh! Yeah! Daddy let me have two brownies!" He explains holding up two fingers excitedly.
That's why Eric was being so nice. He gave our pup too much sugar. Athena grumbles.
