Well everyone always listens to her, she doesn't even need to try. It's as if the way she says stuff is enough to believe that she is right and maybe that's how she controls us, all of us. She is difficult to be pleased with, especially when it comes to movies.

Let me do a quick recap. Mae and Rae are on crack. More than usual. They are using some Indian language phrase again and again and they won't tell us what it means. By how they say it, I think it's an insult. They've made a new Indian friend at University that's why.

We were sitting on the couch in the living room, as usual. They declared we are watching a Bollywood movie '3 idiots'. I thought seeing both of them is enough, two idiots.

But the movie is a masterpiece.

In the movie, the student refers to their principal as 'virus', and it's hilarious. Rae and Mae were the first ones to laugh, like always rolling off the carpet.

The movie is something I have never seen before. It's evergreen, something I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching.
We were at the brim of crying, out of happiness or sadness. And at last, we all cried so hard.

Mae side-hugged me because I was the one crying the most.

Rae was hugging Jimin because he was crying and... You know the people who look beautiful even while crying? Yeah, him. Rae kissed his cheek.

When we all stopped crying and started recalling all the bits of the story and started laughing.

They were all eyeing me and Mae weirdly, silently asking why weren't we bickering like usual or hitting each other.
Then I remembered that we hadn't told them about us.

I kept it a bit short and told them we're in a relationship.

They started screeching and Rae jumped at Mae and shouted how finally Mae got some brain cells and efficiently using them.

Mae rolled her eyes, "I wish I could lend you some so you start dating Jimin"

We all laughed except them. They got all awkward after everyone started agreeing with Mae. They just gaped and looked at each other for a second then turned their heads as quickly as possible, red all over. I think something has shifted between them.

I'll pin this day as Mae and I became official today. I'm that kind of guy, okay? So I took a polaroid selca with Mae and sticked it on our photo wall if you even remember it. I wrote on it, the day Mae and I became official.

Everyone looked happy, patted my back except for Jungkook. He wasn't entirely glum but he wasn't happy either. He just didn't say anything. I know I should be mad at him and all but I couldn't because at the end of the day... he happens to be one of the dorks who's cheered up my entire College life. I love him. Don't tell him, if someone's reading.

I stood next to him and he was the one who spoke first, he sort of avoided my gaze, busying himself with the TV remote.

"Congrats. You got the girl."

"It wasn't a competition, and getting into relationships isn't a victory. Congratulate me when I win a Grammy."

Uh...yes let me explain this line. Mae said that in stories when the sweet innocent girl, makes the hottest guy in school fall for him, she becomes so proud of herself and she always has the 'bitch I got your man' expression plastered on her face whenever she passes by a group of girls. Or she says 'you need to work very hard for where I've come.

Oh wow, what a life achievement, you just lost your virginity to a total asshole! Congratulations! You made the bad boy fall for you, you should get an Oscar!

That is disgusting.

She said, when our parents say that 'focus on your career, this love shit will happen when it has to happen' they mean it. Because you see, everyone has a penis, and everyone has a vagina. And everyone is most definitely gonna have sex. And everyone is most definitely gonna fall in love. It's nothing out of ordinary. So you shouldn't be feeling proud of it when you've done is fucked a boy. Whether or not he's a heartthrob.

But if you really make something out of your life. In my case, it's being a singer and a music producer, for you it might be different. But if you reach the top in whatever career you choose, that would be something to be truly proud of. Because not everyone can do that.

She told me to stay focused and not meddle much in making Jungkook feel jealous or anything stupid like that.

Anyways, that's why I said it to Jungkook.

Jungkook scoffed.

"I'm sorry I hurt you that day, Jungkook. It was irrational and childish of me."

Jungkook tapped the TV remote on the side of my arm and nodded. "Don't worry man, it's always been you anyways. I provoked you, It wasn't wrong of you to get possessive over your girl. I was unnecessarily coming in between."

His words were of wisdom but it was clear he had revised them over and over again in his head previously. I could tell that because of his expressions, he looked sad and didn't mean what he said. Looked like he was restraining himself from spitting, 'I don't know what she sees in such a loser like you.'

"I know it must be hard to move on..."

"I'll live."

"...uh... don't fuck around to move on. I've tried and it doesn't work."

Jungkook judged me for a few seconds.

"Sure."

"You know you can tell me if something is on your mind, right? Mae aside, I'm still your hyung."

Jungkook scoffed but this time his eyes glistened. He sniffled and laughed at himself. Muttering something about how he couldn't believe he was telling this to the guy whole stole the girl he liked.

"Why don't the girls I like never like me back?"

"You've literally the hot freshman the whole year. Every girl wants to sit behind your Harley, what are you even saying?!"

"No– but I don't like them! I liked her and she doesn't like me! No one will!"

"Oh, you idiot." I cursed at him. "You've just started your life! Do you think everyone finds the love of their lives in these four years of uni?!"

"Oh,"

Dumbfuck

"There's no need to beat around the bushes for us." I started. "It isn't my decision to make who Mae wants to be with. If she'd be happier with you, I'd let her go."

Jungkook hummed. "So you won't allow her to play video games with me now that she's yours?"

"I could never stop her from doing whatever she pleases. She'll kill me if I try to order her or restrict her. She's my girlfriend, Kook, not my slave or something like that."

"Right, she's in charge of the relationship."

I frowned. "She's not."

"She literally doesn't let you watch 50 shades."

"She won't let you watch it either! It's different! That movie is shit anyways."

There was that, we were back to normal.
