CHAPTER TWELVE!

Beau stood between Alice and Jasper, ready to run. "Are you sure this is where you saw her?" Carlisle asked both Beau and Alice, Beau nodding his head.

"She's almost here," Alice said, Jasper, moving closer to her.

"On your left!" Beau took off running, being the second fastest person in the family, Emmett not too far behind him. Beau reached his hand out, his fingertips grazing Victoria's jacket, but she seemed to pick up the pace, avoiding Beau, who continued to chase her.

Emmett ran past Beau, grabbing onto Victora who flipped him over her shoulder, sending him tumbling to the ground before she took off running again. Beau continued to chase Victoria, grabbing onto her ankle as she jumped, keeping her from moving, she turned to him, kicking him in the face, causing him to let go before she jumped across the river, Beau huffed and went to go after her but Rosalie grabbed his shirt, keeping him from moving.

"Wait!" Carlisle said, keeping the rest of the Cullen's from jumping across. "She's in their territory."

Beau began running again, this time along their side of the border. "She'll get away!" Esme said, Victoria now had wolves chasing her, as well as the Cullen's, both parties staying on their half of land.

"No, she won't," Jasper said. Victoria jumped back over to the Cullen's side of the land, using the trees to move in a zig-zag pattern, Jasper jumped up, attempting to grab her, but he missed her, Beau, and Emmett side by side as they rushed after her. "Emmett, Beau, no!" Esme yelled, Beau slid to a stop, while Emmett attempted to cross the border, one of the wolves knocked him back and into the water.

Emmett and the wolf began growling at each other, before Beau jumped into the water, grabbing Emmett and pushing him back to their side, looking at the wolf who growled at him. "We're sorry. It will not happen again." Beau told the wolf who huffed at him before Beau was jumping out of the water, landing beside Rosalie and Emmett.

Beau and Angela got out of Beau's car, watching as Bella and Edward walked up to Jacob. "Uh-oh," Beau muttered, Angela, walking to his side.

"What?" Angela asked, Beau, shaking his head.

"Stupid Edward wanted to keep the whole Victoria thing a secret from Bella, but Emmett and Paul had a misunderstanding and I had to be the mediator, of course dog boy is going to say something." Beau spoke, annoyance clear in her tone.

People began watching as Edward stepped closer to Jacob, Beau rolling his eyes before leaving Angela's side, and stepping between the two, looking at Edward. "That's enough. You're causing a scene."

"Does Angela know? Or did you lie to her too?" Jacob asked Beau who turned to him.

"Man why don't you shut the hell up. It's none of your concern what I tell my girlfriend." Angela grabbed his arm, attempting to pull him away.

"Beau, come on." Beau looked at her before nodding, stepping away from Edward, Jacob, and Bella, Angela kissing his hand, hoping it would calm him down.

Beau and Angela watched as Bella got on the back of Jacob's bike, Edward standing there annoyed. Beau laughed quietly, amused at the love triangle to be, Angela gently smacking him in his side, trying not to laugh as the two walked into the school.

"Who was it? Someone, we know?" Carlisle asked, Beau and Angela sitting side by side on the couch, Beau was annoyed because there was yet again more drama involving Bella Swan.

"This stranger, I didn't recognize his scent," Edward explained.

"A nomad passing through?" Esme asked, Beau shaking his head.

"A passerby wouldn't have left Bella's father alive. He was there for a reason." Jasper and Emmett walked into the room. "The scent disappeared about five miles south of Bella's house."

"Someone's orchestrating this," Carlisle said, Beau rolling his eyes.

"Victoria?" Bella asked.

Alice shook her head. "I would have seen her decide."

"Has to be the Volturi," Edward said, Alice shaking her head again.

"I don't think it's the Volturi, either. I've been watching Aro's decisions, too." Alice said, Angela grabbing Beau's hand, the boy impatiently tapping his foot. He had never been patient, and now that he had turned his patience was ten times worse.

"So we keep looking," Emmett said.

"We'll also take shifts guarding Bella at her house," Carlisle said, both Beau and Rosalie rolling their eyes.

"Another protection detail?" Rosalie asked.

"Rosalie," Carlisle warned.

"No," Beau said, everyone looking at him. "I don't give a shit about Bella, why should I protect her."

"Beau," Edward warned.

"No. They're right." Bella spoke up, everyone looking at her. "You can't protect me, watch my dad and search for the intruder."

"And for Victoria," Rosalie added on.

"Or keep ourselves fed," Beau added.

"I'm not leaving you here defenseless," Edward said, Beau rolling his eyes at the dramatics of Bella and Edward's relationship.

"Well, I'm not gonna let you starve. And I wouldn't be unprotected. I have..." Bella trailed off.

"What?" Edward asked.
