Beau held Renesmee, bouncing her on his hip causing her to giggle. The girl held one of his fingers, clapping her hands together as Beau made a face at her. "Beau." Edward spoke as he entered the house with Bella.
Beau turned towards Bella and Edward, Renesmee reaching for Bella. Beau handed her to Bella who smiled happily. "Thank you." Bella told Beau, looking down at her daughter.
Beau nodded, watching as Renesmee touched Bella's cheek causing Bella to freeze. "What was that?" Bella questioned softly.
"She showed you the first memory she has of you." Beau told her. He and Rosalie had made up, but he and Angela hadn't spoken since the night in the woods. Everytime he would try to talk to her she would walk away.
"Showed me?" Bella questioned, her voice still soft. "How?"
"How do I hear thoughts?" Edward asked. "How does Alice see the future? She's gifted."
"I've only been out for two days?" Bella asked, glancing at Carlisle.
"Her growth rate is unprecedented." Carlisle told Bella.
"All right. That's enough experimenting for one day." Jacob spoke, pushing past Rosalie and Beau to get to Renesmee.
"Jacob." Beau warned. Rosalie smiled in amusement.
"She's doing great." Edward told Jacob.
"Yeah. Let's not push it though." Jacob responded.
"What's your problem." Bella questioned, looking at Jacob.
"Oh." Rosalie sighed. "Do tell her, Jacob."
"This should be good." Emmett smirked.
"Hold on a second." Edward spoke, reaching for Renesmee. "Bella." Edward spoke when she wouldn't let go of the baby. Bella handed Renesmee to Edward.
"Look," Jacob started. "it's a wolf thing."
"What's a wolf thing?" Bella questioned harshly. Rosalie stepped to the side, pulling Beau with her, the two watching in amusement. Rosalie went to Edward, who handed her Renesmee. Beau moved to stand beside Rosalie, making funny faces at the baby.
"Um..." Jacob trailed off, trying to think of what he was going to say. "You know we have no control over it. We can't choose who it happens with. And it doesn't mean what you think, Bella. I promise."
"Take Renesmee out of the room." Bella told Rosalie who still held an amused look.
"Bye, baby." Beau told Renesmee, gently patting her head before Rosalie took her out of the room like she was asked.
"Oh." Jacob sighed.
"Edward, don't touch me right now. I don't want to hurt you." Bella told Edward, who removed his hand from her shoulder.
"Oh." Jacob said again.
Bella roughly grabbed Jacob by the back of the neck, dragging him out of the house. The Cullen family followed quickly behind. Edward and Beau sharing an amused look as they stepped out on the porch, Bella throwing Jacob off of the porch.
"You imprinted on my daughter!" Bella exclaimed angrily.
"It wasn't my choice!" Jacob defended.
"She's a baby!" Bella yelled.
"It's not like that." Jacob told her. "You think Edward would let me live if it was?"
"I'm still debating it." Edward commented, leaning on the porch railing.
"I've held her once!" Bella yelled, making her way down the porch steps and towards Jacob. "One time, Jacob! And already you think you have some moronic wolfy claim on her? She's mine!" She hit Jacob causing him to fall back into the dirt.
Beau laughed, covering it up with a cough as Esme looked at him. She shook her head at his antics.
Seth and Leah came out of the woods, growling. "It's fine, Leah." Jacob told the shifter as he stood.
"You're gonna stay away from her." Bella told Jacob.
"You know I can't do that." Jacob told Bella. Bella hit Jacob again, sending him back to the ground.
"Stop her, Edward." Esme told him quietly.
"He said it's fine." Edward told her, watching Bella and Jacob. "She's amazing, right?"
Jacob stood up again. "Do you remember how much you wanted to be around me three days ago? That's gone now, right?"
"Long gone." Bella answered.
"Because it was her." Jacob told her. "From the beginning it was Nessie who wanted me there." Beau winced at the use of the nickname.
"Nessie?" Bella questioned. "You nicknamed my daughter after the Loch Ness monster?" She moved towards Jacob, causing Seth to lunge at her, but she caught the wolf, throwing him into a tree.
"Seth are you okay?" Jacob questioned the wolf, who was whining on the ground.
"Seth, I'm sorry." Bella apologized, any malice in her voice now gone.
"He'll be alright." Jacob told her as Seth stood up. "Bella, you know me better than anyone. All I want is for Ness...Renesmee to be safe. Happy. Look, nothing ever made sense before. You. Me. Any of it. And now I understand why. This was the reason."
"Drama." Beau muttered, going into the house to find Rosalie and Renesmee.
