Beau and Angela went to Alaska with the Denali's, considering that Angela was technically dead to the public eye. They had only been gone for a few weeks, but Beau found himself standing with his arm around Angela, the white snowfall sticking in their hair. On the other side of Beau was Kate and Tanya, the two sisters standing close. On the other side of the sisters were Carmen and Eleazar. The family stood together, watching as Bella and Edward got out of Carlisle's car, a few moments later Jacob stepping out of the car with Renesme.
"Uncle Beau!" The girl exclaimed, running towards the man.
Beau unwrapped his arm from around Angela, catching the girl as she held her arms out for a hug, careful as he scooped her off of her feet, pulling the little girl into a hug. "My god, you've gotten so big." Beau spoke softly, flicking a piece of her hair and making her giggle.
"Edward what have you done?" Tanya asked accusingly. "Why would you bring an immortal child here?" She looked over at Beau who held the girl on his hip, poking at her and making her giggle, Angela watching the two with a wide smile, sadness behind her eyes.
"Tanya, she is not one of them." Beau said simply, Renesme reaching for Angela now. "Our family is not like your mother." Beau told her harshly, holding Renesme towards Angela for her to grab the little girl. "And Irina is dumber than a ball of yarn if she thinks so."
"Aunt Angie!" Renesme exclaimed as Angela took the girl into her arms, smiling brightly.
Beau's words didn't seem to register with the sisters as Tanya rushed at Edward getting thrown to the side. Angela moved away, back towards Jacob and Bella, the three shielding Renesme. Kate rushed next, Beau attempting to stop her. Beau started convulsing as his arms wrapped around Kate, but he didn't let her go. Bella rushed forward, grabbing Kate and flinging her to the side. Beau, Edward, and Bella formed a wall in front of them. "Stay back!" Bella threatened, the two girls stopping in their tracks.
"Enough!" Beau told them harshly.
"She has blood in her veins. You can feel her warmth." Edward spoke quickly, Carmen and Eleazar both examining Renesme from afar.
"I can feel it." Carmen spoke confidently.
"I'm her biological father. Bella is her mother." Edward told them.
"Impossible." Kate spoke with a shake of her head, sure of herself.
"It's true. She was born while I was still human." Bella spoke up.
"I've never heard of such a thing." Eleazar spoke in curiousity, both him and Carmen staring at the little girl.
"She can show you if you let her." Edward told them.
"She's quite gifted." Beau bragged, his tense posture disapating.
"Tanya, you owe us this much." Edward added as he and Bella turned, motioning for Jacob to bring Renesme forward. Jacob gently took Renesme from Angela, who appeared at Beau's side. "We're all under a death sentence because your sister didn't let us explain."
"This is how she communicates." Angela informed the woman as Renesme placed her hand to Tanya's cheek.
Whatever Renesme had showed Tanya left her shocked and with a small grin, she turned to her family. "It's true." Tanya spoke softly. "She's not immortal." Carmen and Eleazar moved forward after the confirmation, wonder on their faces.
