Max's POV

"I-I.." she kept on stammering trying to bring to words how she felt but deep down I wasn't even sure I wanted to know.
What if all this time I've been fighting for her only to hear her reject me?.I don't think I've ever had such a rocky relationship with somebody but then again, is it really love if you never have a disagreement?. All I wanted was her to say yes and just throw her on the bed. I missed the way she felt when she was laying in my arms. I'll admit that I've never really been good at dealing with things that were tough for me, if only I had talked to her that night, if only I had told her I wasn't okay with it instead of kissing somebody else in a hopeless attempt to forget about her. I don't think I ever can. She knows things about me nobody else knows, things I wouldn't tell anyone else, i needed her. Everything in my life could go a fucking way but not her.
"Anna please tell me, I need to hear you say it." I continued urging her to speak.
"I just feel..."
That was it . The moment she was finally gonna tell me how she felt.
"Max I need you in Christian's room stat, do you know where Anna is?, she needs to be there to." Someone from the team shouted through the door.
"For fuck's sake." I groaned, tugging at my own hair out of frustration.
"She'll be there, I assure you of that."
I quickly grabbed my red bull shirt, knowing full well Christian couldn't deal with people being late.
"As for us, don't think you're getting out of this one." I pointed my finger at her before putting my shirt on.
"Let's focus on Christian, whatever he has to say in the evening must be important.

Anna's POV

We quietly walked the hall as to not disturb anyone.
"What do you think Christian is gonna say?." I whispered at Max who didn't seem to have a care in the world, mindlessly walking while taking a swig of his water bottle.
"Does it matter?."
"Why are you acting so calm about this?, your fucking boss set an unplanned meeting at 8 in the evening!." I somewhat shouted within whispering.
"We were in the middle of finding out if we could still be, you think I care about what Christian is gonna tell me." He chuckled sarcastically.
Just as we arrived I saw Christian walking up and down behind his desk, clearly restless.
I felt myself becoming a bit more uneasy by it, i as a person have always seen the worst in every situation, i always imagined the worst thing that could happen in order to prepare, Max and Christian however always seemed cool even when time's got hectic but he wasn't  like that.
"Okay, I'm glad you guys are both here." He started off, completely disregarding Max and I coming from the same direction.
"Something happened and it's bad." He continued, his eyes glancing from me to Max.
I looked at Max to see how he felt but he seemed rather bored.
"Just tell us what's going on, I've got things to do." He yawned reminding me just how important Max is to this team that he can't talk like this.

"Alex, he's out for the rest of the season."
"WHAT!." Max I blurt out in union.
"Why?." I beat Max to it.
"Things are not going well with his girlfriend, he has told us he doesn't wanna continue this season.
"So what do you want to do now?." Max asked, clearly interested now Christian had told him what was going on.
"We need somebody to replace him and I think we've found a good fit." He announced, switching back from worrying into being professional.
"Who may that be, Liam is way too young."
"You." Christian said while directing his eyes from the table up to me.
"What do you mean me?, I'm with Alphatauri." I almost felt the need to defend myself considering they had been planning my future without me knowing.
"Yuki is gonna take your place, we have seen in F2 that hes got great potential, he'll get the job done." Christian assured me, making me feel a bit more at ease now, knowing i wont leave the team without anyone that can equal my performance over the year.
"So does that mean Anna is gonna be my team mate?." Max furrowed his eyebrows, somehow not seeming to understand how that would be possible.
"Yeah and for that reason I'm gonna set one strict rule, you guys remain friends, I can't afford any fighting nothing on and off track.
"Christian." Max immediately interjected but to no avail.
"I don't wanna hear it Max, you guys have been nothing but trouble to me lately." Christian raised his voice, showing just how important this was to him.
"Christian you can't..." Max tried again.
"This is final Max, Anna I'll let one of the team members show you everything you need to know first thing on Tuesday." Christian instructed before allowing us to leave his office.

Silence soon followed, the only sound heard being Max's uneven breaths, clearly mad at what Christian told him.
"Max I just want to say...." I started off but was cut off when his fingers wrapped around my wrist, dragging me into his room.
"What the hell are you doing!." I half shouted. He quickly pulled his shirt off, leaving him shirtless once more.
"What do you think I'm doing?, I'm going to fuck you so hard you wont be able to walk tomorrow morning."
