That's all, have fun reading my fellow simps.

Anna's POV

Being home helped me tremendously, during the time I was away I didn't really think about my family as much as I should but seeing them again after so long made me realise how much I truly missed them. The feeling of not having constant responsibility did me well. My family loved Charles, my mom has a certain weakness for guys with good manners and even though he couldn't speak Dutch like Max could they were more than okay with trying to speak English for him. While I slept in my own room he got the guest bedroom. Even though he was barely there since he would stay up late with me in my room until it was time to go to sleep. In the few days we have been here Max hasn't texted me once. I caught myself checking my phone for a text for him ways too much but Charles was a good distraction especially since I didn't have to explain a single thing about Max and I since he obviously didn't know. We were watching a movie in my room as I kept looking sat my phone. Yearning for a message from him where he would tell me he was sorry about everything that had happened but nothing.

"Anna." Charles spoke up, making me look up from my phone and straight into his eyes, I always loved his eyes. I found myself to get lost in them quite often because of it. Not that I could act on it considering I was still loyal to Max even if he wasn't there to reassure me that we were still together.
"Yeah?." I replied, throwing my phone to the side, showing I was interested in whatever he had to say.
"I've really been enjoying the time we've spent together." He smiled faintly, his voice growing soft.
My heart was beating in my chest. He wouldn't just say this out of nowhere. There must be a reason.
"And I need to you to know this..." he continued. Oh boy. Here it goes.
"I've fucked up, I was jealous of you and Max and I could've just been smarter and realised you guys were over. I just don't want to see you with somebody else." He explained, finding my hand to hold in his as his thumb rubbed over the back 0f my hand.

"I...I." I tried to say anything but nothing would come out. I didn't know what to say.
What was I supposed to do with my boyfriend not even texting me and the guy that had helped me through everything being right in front of me?.
"It's okay... you don't have to say anything, let's just stay like this for a while." He saved me as he kept holding me hand and focusing his eyes on the screen again. Just as I felt myself relax a bit more even though the feeling of him holding my hand was still evidently clear on my skin I heard my phone going off.
I took a look at who was calling me, expecting another random person to call my phone. Call it the perks of F1 fame.
I didn't recognise the number but a feeling inside of me told me I couldn't decline this phone call.
I answered the phone as I sat a bit more straight up, Charles' eyes immediately looking at me.

"Anna?." The voice on the other end called out. I knew who it was straight away.
"No, we're not doing this again.don't do this." I hung up before looking at Charles' reaction.
"It was Max, wasn't it?." He guessed making me shake my head.
"No,this phone number has been spamming me for days, just kids trying to be annoying I guess." I lied, trying to make it sound believable.
I expected him to get angry, or sad or at least something, something that would show he didn't believe me. Instead he just gave me a nod before focusing on the tv again.
To be fair, I didn't lie a 100%. It wasn't Max who called, I would be smarter than to just sit there and listen to a conversation with him while Charles was a metre away. Not to say the person who called was much better than Max.

The rest of the night was spent watching the movie as I had forgotten about the phone call already. Deciding to focus on the present instead. There's no reason to dwell on the past.
"This is by far the sappiest movie I've ever seen." Charles laughed as the credits rolled down the screen.
I immediately smacked his arm, making him fake an offended look.
"It's not sappy, its romantic and it's cute. A knight in shining armour on a Christmas night doesn't sound too shabby to me."
"Well its not Christmas yet but you've got your knight right here." Charles joked, showing off his lean body in the proces making me chuckle.
"Keep dreaming love." I teased making him get closer to me.
"How dare you?." He called out in a high pitched tone before he started to tickle me, leaving me falling on my bed as he climbed on top of me, making sure I couldn't escape from him.
I couldn't stop laughing , I tried to wiggle out of his grip to no avail when he pinned my arms above my head.
Silence fell as we realised in what kind of position we were.
He looked into my eyes, searching for permission. I just kept looking at him, more than curious to see what he would do.
"So pretty." He muttered before getting closer to me. Closing the close gap between our lips.
